From what I understand, Hart isn't going anywhere until the 2018 WJC sexual scandal gets resolved and he's in the clear. Same goes with other players from that team. Someone is going to hang for that mess, for sure, maybe a few players. Let's hope its not Hart. - Letterkenney
He's most definitely NOT in the clear. The only reason he's playing is his contract and the protection the NHLPA affords him. Without one he'd be playing with Alex Formenton right now.
You guys need a GM who can pull off what Bill Guerrin did in Minny. Jeezus you're paying some mediocre players A LOT of money!

I thought that all the non-involved players have issued statements so it's basically process of elimination to see who was actually involved. - Tomahawk
Yes. The issue with trading Hart is related to the continuing uncertainty surrounding those players potentially involved. No team is going to make a trade for Hart until that uncertainty is lifted. I don't blame them. |

No kidding!
Hey, when Lou is fired, you guys can hire Chuck Fletcher. He's available. At least until Pitt hires him after firing Hexy so they can complete their destruction like both of them did to the Flyers. |

great way to treat a player - corduroy
TDA that no one on this board has been happy with is being held accountable by a coach (something that this board has asked for multiple seasons), and we still find reasons to be unhappy?

26 is still young for a goaltender. Many goalies at that age are just coming into a #1 role. - MJL
The illogical part of the conversation is saying that Hart will be out of his prime when the Flyers turn the corner, but saying guys within a year of his age will not be. In reality, we donāt know when the team will turn the corner; Hartās age is NOT prohibitive for him to be part of the future. There are many other factors, like his contract and current value in trade, but it isnāt a need to trade situation.

The head coach scratches a player and does not talk to him? WTH is that? It would be like sending your kid to his room for not emptying the dishwasher and not talking to him for a week

And Minnesota is paying almost 13 million to 2 players who do not play for them team, and then pay $14 million to them the next two years.
Plus it will be tough to give new more expensive contracts to the 13 free agents.

He is in the clear, gave his statements to the authorities. If anything bad was mentioned it would have leaked out. |

I do think Briere trades a player on the roster to get a second 1st rd pick. A team like STL makes sense with multiple 1st rdrs as a trade partner. - Trox88
Armstrong has said heāll only move those picks for players 25-26 with term and younger players. So TK and Farabee and 4-5 of those youth the Flyers would like to keep would be in play.

It's not prohibitive and I guess it depends on when you think this team will turn the corner. Still doesn't change that it is likely that the majority of prime years for Hart with a new high priced contract will be spent on a team that hasn't yet turned the corner. Trading Hart has merit. |

In the one interview, Torts said he had not talked to him. Then later, in another interview, he said they had talked. Not sure when exactly, but they apparently did talk.

Detroit could be a landing spot for Provorov if they envision him as a good partner for Seider. Chiarot definitely did not work out in that regard.
They have cap space galore and I'd be happy getting NYI's pick for him. Though they might want to keep a spot open for Edvinsson. - TobyFlenderson
Could you even imagine a motivated Provorov paired with Seider?
Filip Zadina from what I can tell has been a huge disappointment but I wonder if fans here would be willing to trade Provorov for one of the Wings first round picks in this year draft and Filip Zadina as a project? |

Point beingā¦not because of his age. He is an established #1 goalie far younger than normal. |

If you follow the conversation, it wasn't suggested it was because of age. In fact, both Tomahawk and myself pointed out that it wasn't about age. |

I do not get the rush to trade Hart- a young reliable goalie that this fan base had been praying for for years. Now, folks want to trade him for questionable assets and rely on other goalies.
I especially, don't understand how from my statement about Fedotov only his age came to play. he has not played or practice competitively for a year. |

So far the Flyers haven't deviated from the Comcast Powerpoint Presentation put together by Dave Scott.
Briere was always next in line for GM.

I am sure there was a conversation on the conditions of return to the line-up. So, when you place a condition in front of your kid, good parenting would be not to renegotiate till this condition is met. How do you know that this conversation did not happen? And do you know what was/ were condition(s) for the TDA return on the ice.

I agree that Provy does have high value. He is a top pair LHD dman who plays every game and pretty much every shift. I do think he can get a 1st + a prospect. I would expect him to be rejuvenated on his new team and have a good season.

they all gave statements, from what I've heard the authorities IF they do anything at all are looking at three players two of whom we have mentioned and a third who's not an NHLer.
And yes Minny will be in a weird spot money wise for a couple seasons but they're in the play offs and contending. And it will only be a couple years of pain.
