Finally... holy (frank) how did this guy survive to make it under his 3rd head coach????
- boonerbuck
Not that I like him, but the Canucks have had a decent PP percentage over the past few years:
11th this year
8th last year
4th year before
Their PP isn't the thing that's been tanking them |

I don't think it had much to do with King. It was priceless last season seeing Bruce take the marker board out of King's hands in the middle of him drawing up a plan or when Petey turned his back on him in a huddle and skated away as he was drawing up the PP in practice. At this point, I think Kings presence on the bench was redundant.

I mean, pretty tough to say it had nothing to do with King if he was there over the span of three coaches (two, really). But he survived a complete coaching change when assistants were let go, clearly for some reason. But ya, their PP isn't really consistently dangerous, happy with change in that regard.
Though I don't think a PP coach really does a whole lot compared to the personnel on the ice. The best PP in the league the last few years has been Edmonton. Do they have a fantastic PP coach, or do they just have Drai and McJesus? lol |

I didnt say nothing... said much. I agree it's more the players... especially in regards of King. Otherwise the 2nd PP unit would be effective.

Thatโs how you win some extra games putting in different plays especially between units. A good PP coach sets up the second PP unit well enough to come through when top one is being stymied. |

Interesting take since Aaron came in here whining about people poop talking the Leafs, got kicked around and then rage quit his badge because of us.

Was at the Leafs-Canucks game when the Canucks beat them. A Leafs fan came out and said in so many words...."....well we are in the playoffs" and a kid (maybe 12 or 13) says to the guy - "...the playoffs really start after the first round...." The whole corridor started laughing and the guy just lost it and stormed out of the arena. It was so hilarious and incredible.
2004 and counting....and to think they could have landed Demko for their run.... |
