that's all millers fault. throws it across the blue line to a guy barely open instead of dumping it in |

I mean sure, I wanted that mentally devastating shutout though. |

Yea I was thinking that. That would really have sapped their will a bit. W/e Shesty looked like the best he ever has tonight imo. He had me worried a bit throughout the season |

Def had some head scratchers, a lot of guys. Motte wtf? Shesty bailed them out. This was a very impressive win tho. Really did a lot of things you need to do in the playoffs. These games won’t be perfect |

As much as we wanted the shutout, the Rangers ultimately commanded the game. Certainly expect the Devils to adjust for Thorsday. Going to be a fun series and fully expect Goodrow to get some revenge at some point. |

Just saw a stat that since 94 rangers had lost game one 21 time in 35 series. Nice to get on top.
Love the play of the kid line keeping the puck down low |

Not in the first |

My initial thoughts:
Good:
- Defense: structured defensively, got pucks out of the zone, good job on Hughes for the most part
- Igor: stellar game. Should’ve had the shutout but is clearly on his game
- Mika: Great game even though held off scoreboard. Made a number of really strong defensive plays on Hughes
Bad:
- Forecheck: could not sustain offensive pressure. My guess is we got crushed in Tom’s charts
- Kid line: had some good shifts but largely thought they were outplayed by Meier line
- Forwards: relates to forecheck, but forwards really forced defense and Igor to bail them out all game
Taking game 1 on the road is huge however it comes. Really fun game tonight. Going forward really need to control the puck more and get back on our cycle. NJ is quick in transition so need to limit turnovers and be physical.
Let’s go Rangers!! On to game 2!
Edit: Should add that Mikkola had an excellent game! His speed and length matches up well against this devils team. Hopefully he keeps it up |

I missed the part where I said that. I gave my thoughts based on what I saw and thought that we probably lost the advanced analytics game. I would much rather win the actual game and am glad we did |

You complained all day about nobody talking about the rangers and how we need to talk about the game. I posted like 8 bullet points on thoughts about the game strictly from watching, not looking at any charts. I made one comment about how while we won, Tom’s charts would likely say we shouldn’t but went on to compliment the team and the effort tonight.
You bolded that comment and posted some stupid gif in response instead of taking the opportunity to “talk about the rangers” on any of the other points.
You’re ruining this site for yourself. Grow the f up |
