Here is analytics that actually compliments Miller and Trouba. (I know analytics bad aHHHh!)

When Trouba and Miller were on the ice at 5 on 5, Devils had 14 controlled zone entries. 0 scoring chances from those entries. Trouba and Miller each had 1 glaring turnover, and the miscommunication with Vlad on the Hughes PS goal. Other than that, they played really well.

Its possible. I just see Miller making a "holy crap" turnover..... and I'm like damn dude.

GAME 1:

- tomburton99

So I thought the kids had a really up and down game. Couple solid shifts where they got the forecheck going but I thought they got hemmed in their own zone vs the Meier line a bunch of times too.

How much is their game score influenced by the empty netter that Chytil scored? Just a bit surprised to see them so high

What do those numbers look like for the other pairs? I felt like as a team they kept the Devils to the outside really well other than one or two incredible plays by Hughes
- SkjeiStadium

Hughes is sick when he has speed and a little bit of room.

Honestly, not sure. Guy who runs his website keeps most of his data behind a paywall. Sorry.

Here is the data he published and the Miller/Trouba tweet.

- 10 controlled entries for Jack Hughes but only one scoring chance. Probably the starting point for Thursday's gameplan.
- Miller/Trouba allowed no scoring chances on 14 carry-ins.

Chytil's individual scored is boosted because of it for sure. But they really struggled in the limited ice time the first period. After they had more qualities chances relative to the rest of the team.

Thanks. For how strong the Devils are off the rush we were better in this game based on those numbers. Need to keep that up and keep their speed guys to the outside

That's fair. They struggled in the first and the whole team struggled in the 2nd so they weren't very noticeable then either but they did pick it up in the 3rd and it was nice to see Gallant get them out there for the empty netter

Which was good because most the Rangers backed off to not make any mistakes, understandable. Kid line kept their foot on the gas. Which you gotta love.

The game last night. Overall, pretty great. Not the best 2nd period but still really good overall. Kreider, Fox, Tarasenko, Shesterkin, Panarin, Miller, Chyitl and many more all were really strong.

Kid line rebounded after the slow start due to lack of playing time in the first period.

Wanted to highlight Goodrow and Mikkola, who were great at breaking up play in the defensive zone. Might be the best game Goodrow has played as a Ranger.

Hate the penalties, loved the penalty kill.

what do the percentages represent?

Do the colors mean anything?

Best part of watching your team winning a playoff game, besides the win, of course, is watching the other games that follow that night and the next day.

Seems like a big risk and overreaction.

Ehh. Lindy don't give a shiiit about that right now, and I doubt the GM is making any lineup calls, especially for contract reasons

Last nights win felt damn good. Controlled the pace of the game, slowed up the Devils and stifled their PP. Have to play with that same confidence in game 2. You can see how frustrated guys like Hughes looked.

Also, their goaltending looked shaky at best. Put CK20 in front of the net all game and fire away.
