You're blind. They were hitting plenty. In fact, they looked like the slow, mucky team instead of the dancing flowery team they usually get called for. Schenn pushed guys around, Matthews being heavy and McCabe throwing hits. I had no problem with that part of the game. They need to keep doing it.

So the Leafs are not the "nice things" you always say Leafs fans don't deserve?

It’s absolutely bizarre that they didn’t start with more detail and energy given it’s Game 1 of the Cup Playoffs - they look completely overwhelmed. Not just by Tbay but I think it starts with being overwhelmed by the event. They looked shell shocked.

They will wake up and it’ll be different going onward. Even look at the game - two goals in the second and it’s a great 3rd. Long series this is just the first.

I'm a little conflicted. The calls were fair in the sense that they were penalties, but since when did "game management' go out the window? Not a chance the Leafs would get a PP if they were up by 2. Not a (frank)ing chance.

You need to watch another series. Last night Boston players (all of them) hit every chance they had. Plenty of our guys are turning away. Matthews and McCabe is great. But everyone needs to get engaged.

Couldn't have had a worse start to the series short of a major injury.

But this is the time that the "leaders and character guys" they traded for are here.

If the likes of ROR, Giordano, Schenn, Acciari etc... Can't help this team grow up and meet their potential, it'll never happen.

Had holl actually hit the player skating in front of him with the puck instead of watching him skate by....
Had the leafs actually come out to play like they should have...
Things may have been different.
Enough with blaming the refs, its so old and tiring my opinion.
Still 2 periods and 6 games left....lots of time to turn it around
