Hey at least they didn’t give up a goal in the last 2.2 seconds of the 3rd..

Build of that …

Dropping O’Reilly there amps the bottom six up for sure… I’m partially “annoyed” due to watching this game right now so my wish for Simmonds is likely influenced lol
- Dozzer

Id pass on Simmonds but yup Knoes in for Bunting.

I have no clue why you wouldn't stagger the lines with ROR on 3rd line.

Why didnt Keefe call a time out after it was 2-0 even. Rip em at the bench. Wake em up. First comment from announcers was oh look chess match. Well giess who lost again there?!

Guys gotta wake up and step up or its rinse repeat once again here.

Honestly that happens hope heads roll all over the place.

I think the worst part of experiencing these ‘Leafy’ moments is watching the smiles on the opposing teams after each game and seeing our guys looking off into the distance in disbelief…

Will TB score in the last 2.2 seconds?

Marner has 3 points though....
- jribout

He does but I don't think that really tells much of the story. JT had a couple of apples and his game was real vanilla too.

Far from the only issues tonight. I liked Nylander and O'Reilly. McCabe was effective. Jarnkrok not bad but Keefe can never seem to figure out how to use him regularly.

That's probably all I got, everyone else across the entire lineup needs a big (frank)ing wake up call.

I'll go with - one game, and a poor one, and yeah it had questionable officiating, but we all technically expected that.

For context, last year

Leafs won 5-0, PP were 6-5 in favour
Leafs lost 5-3, PP were 7-4 against
Leafs win 5-2, PP were 5-3 in favour
Leafs lose 7-3, PP were 8-3 against
Leafs win 4-3, PP were 6-5 in favour
Leafs lose 4-3 (OT), PP were 3-1 against
Leafs 2-1, PP were 3-2 in favour

The team with the most power plays won 3 times each in that series; This game feels like the 7-3 loss. We can be much better.

Tonight Leafs lose 7-3, PP were 8-4 against.

It was the worst game of last year's series. We can and should be better.

This. It was very obvious they weren’t ready. So do something. Call a time out or pull Sammy and put in Woll. Wake them up.

BTW, I got on your (frank) the refs train in the second. Messier and Chelios called it the worst officiating they’ve seen in a long time.

He is it that Seattle can have so much balanced depth scoring and the Leafers spend every year trying to find it …

Nylander and Accari where the only 2 Leafs that had decent games.

Marner had 3 points but was playoff Marner that looked like he was scared to have the puck on his stick

Oh I agree but Marner is always are MVP because of points and he plays the PK

I thought Schenn was OK. Did his job.

4 PP goals against is tough... So is watching Holl

Holl was a big part of at least 3 goals against. Twice on the first one. Letting slug Perry blow by him then standing behind the goal line and not taking the guy who eventually scored.

I’ve openly admitted my suggestion of using Simmonds was a desire to see fighting to augment the piss poor play of the team and nothing more

Not wise whatsoever but I can live with that if it’s how Keefe goes lol

Our second line kinda dictated play when they were on the ice.

I genuinely hope the leafs let him walk tbh. Not everyone agrees with me and that’s fine by me, I just know I won’t miss him.

Put him on the ice to start punching Perry in the head if Perry is playing effectively.

I’m literally willing to use a lineup spot for nothing more than that.

Brodie was closer to perry. Holl was in the corner first. All on Brodie.
