EDM will go no where because of their goalies and mediocre defense.

I can certainly understand your sentiment, but when it shortens a series I don't feel so good about it.

Canes didn’t win much on the road last year. Isles could’ve won both games. Kind of like us. Series ain’t over. Get it to 7 games like you saying lol

it's one thing I appreciate about Gallant

there is no way our opponent is going to get 6 powerplays and we get none

Gallant barks at the officials so much it would never happen

Teravainen is out for the rest of the playoffs, needs surgery on his hand from the two-handed chop he received. No penalty either.

The non-call on Mayfield was actually correct, as Brukie said he lifted the stick of the Canes' player which caused him to get hit. Rupp posted a good video of it on Twitter last night.

Did you actually watch that “penalty”? I would think you didn’t bcs you described it as a “chop”.

do you think thats the reason they didnt call it or that they just missed it? I just asking that out loud really

but, in overtime, you've got to keep playing and not hold your face looking for a call either way, so I'll criticize Mayfield there

Mayfield didn’t lift his stick. That’s utter nonsense. The last part of your post I agree with. He should’ve kept playing.

We won but the calls were pretty bad in our game one also. Officials have been pretty terrible so far

Chop is the term Brind'Amour used, as seen in that column:
“They’re gonna complain about all the power plays, but it was a tomahawk chop,” Brind’amour said. “I’m a little pissed, to be honest with you.”

100% but did you get any power plays? If you did you’re already a step ahead.
I’m not one to complain about refs they all suck but it’s part of the game unfortunately. With that said last night including the double minors the canes had a 6-0 edge in PP’s(one broken with a coincidental call).

Is what it is but frustrating as a fan.

Refs missed a bad high sticking penalty right before that goal..brutal for the isles

I'd be so pissed if that were the Rangers on the wrong end of that non call.

Oh I know what he said but it’s Rod Brind’Amour lol. The guy is a clown. If you watched it that play happens thirty times a game without a call. It was a pretty innocuous play. He must have hit him in the most perfect spot but it was far from a “chop”. Routine play really that somehow resulted in an injury. Honestly shocked it did. Also wouldn’t shock me if Terrivanen is in next game.

So Martinook swinging his stick from one side of his back to the other 180 degrees swatting mayfield in the face while having zero control of his stick is Mayfiled’s fault and wasn’t a penalty?
