It's interesting. Teravainen being out means Puljujarvi is in. They definiitely lose some offensive punch but the forecheck gets heavier and even more aggressive.

So the Canes continue to get less dangerous offensively but also become even more miserable to play against/

Gotta think the Devils come out flying tonight. Try and keep the score at zero or tied for the 1st period.

I just want them to make the simple play, clean ins and outs, especially during the opening flurry. Counterattack intelligently. Minimize the east-west plays at center ice because they will inevitably lead to turnovers and odd man rushes. Dump and chase if you have to. Make them start their plays from behind their net, force them to skate all 200 feet, dont gift them pucks at our blue line or center ice.

Oh, then maybe it's not related. I thought they would do the pair of games and then when the arena changes the refs would. Not really sure because I am not all the interested in the officiating since it is so unpredictable. No need to stress over something like that.

I thought Meier was quite invisible in game 1. Although, I didn't really pay attention to him. It could be that he was focused on defense, same as Mika.
