Especially when even you're in here being like "Actually Kane was awesome"
And he was!
I made my opinion pretty clear too and while I don't think he's been totally exonerated or anything here, he's certainly been better than I anticipated.
Will he be able to physically keep it up as the playoffs continue? Hard to say! But right now he's good. - BINGO!
his addition allowed the Rangers to move Vesey to the 4th line and give them a really solid 4th line, and brought in somebody, that when he is on, is still capable of playing superstar level hockey, all at a 2.625 cap hit |

how about the months and months of telling TJ the Rangers won't get Kane?

Don’t forget, no team was going to eat half his salary. Neeeeeever happens. Teams neeeeever do that |

After game 1
Michael NC - “Kane looked pedestrian”
Fourtrax23 - “Kane seemed like he had somewhere else to be and was very casual with his passing/turnovers. If he's not going to get going for NYR/NJD playoffs, he may as well hang them up.”
Climbdenali12 -
“Not giving Kane a pass because I would definitely love to see more out of him“
JRR - “ While Kane was underwhelming to some and had that bad play, I still thought he looked calm and poised rather than "disinterested". It's game one, let's give them all some time to get their sea legs.”
Tom - “Not disinterested. Just not good enough. It's 1 game. Hope he gets better.”
Maloney on the radio - “Kane needs to get it together bc Kreider and Zib can’t continue to carry him”
Picklerick - “Happy to be proven wrong but I don’t think kane has more than what he’s shown left in him. Whether it’s his hip or something else, who knows.”
This is just the comments from page 1, I’m not going past that. But yes, I’m the only one saying he had a bad game 1. Clowns. All of u. - nyrangers9479

I think leaving Chicago took a lot out of him. It definitely mentally drained him. He definitely wasn’t great until last night. But it’s like a coming out party now
He’s also good at avoiding contact like Fox does. They are very similar players aside from their positions. Do a lot of the same things very well |

what's exciting about last night is that he's so good as putting the puck where he wants it and he is getting used to playing with Kreider, that he's going to be putting the puck exactly where Kreider wants it more and more
god damn Kane for not immediately having chemistry with his new teammates and needing time to gel! |

I'm changing the topic. Tarasenko just missed having a hatty last night. Scored in the 2nd, hit the post in the 1st nd then just missed the top glove side a Vanecek in the 3rd period. Vlad got that dog in him. |

Which is another reason why ending a series win in as few games as possible matters. Not putting cart before horse - as it's just two games - but Rangers were spent in 2012 after two seven-game series, which contributed to loss to Devils. Same in 2014 in run to SCF. |

I still think any team should do it if it’s legal. You’re getting an asset. It’s a no brain decision |

Not giving Kane a pass because I would definitely love to see more out of him but both he and Zibanejad were underwhelming offensively. Part of that was the Devils played their matchup (Hischer line) against the Zibanejad line all night. Those 2 lines battles to a stalemate 5v5.
While Kane's failed dump in was maddening, I think his "quiet" game had more to do with the Devils' game plan than him not being able to cut it.
So he wasn’t good. Got it. |

and they got a higher pick than others did to eat salary. Now if they get Bedard.... |

Love what he’s brought to this team. Mikkola has been a great addition also. |

he has adapted nicely to NY, he and his family. But as we all know, money talks. I have been a Tarasenko fan since he went to St. Louis, so would love him here. Unsure how feasible it will be. |

(frank)ing guy so happy another topic was brought up so he can get out of the pickle he got himself into
all he had to do was say "Kane was great last night, hope it continues" but of course he simply cannot stop being an ass hole |
