Not giving Kane a pass because I would definitely love to see more out of him but both he and Zibanejad were underwhelming offensively. Part of that was the Devils played their matchup (Hischer line) against the Zibanejad line all night. Those 2 lines battles to a stalemate 5v5.

While Kane's failed dump in was maddening, I think his "quiet" game had more to do with the Devils' game plan than him not being able to cut it.

So he wasn’t good. Got it.

Patrick Kane had a wonderful game and that’s the sort of thing we can expect from him at his best at this point. The team hasn’t given up an even strength goal in 120 minutes. Kreider is a force. Vlad is doing vlad things. Fox has 6 points in 2 games. Igor is lights out. GG is outclassing Lindy. All is well.
