Take into consideration the slash on Yamo shortly before the call on Nuge as well and although it was obvious in the previous 2 games, it's become very apparent what the NHL's script in this series is.

Cash and expansion fees are the NHL script bud. One look at Bettmans history shows that it doesn't matter which superstars play for CDN teams. Can't promote NHL Hockey in Non-Hockey markets otherwise. I'm sure the top 10 clubs that make money every year are super happy they have to revenue share with ARZ-CAR-FLA and a host of other clubs that can't put 5000 asses in the seats for a reg. season game lol. I mean sh!t, Bettman even put the screws to Buffalo in 1999 a small market American team FFS just to get Dallas that cup to promote expansion at the time.

Regardless the Oilers need to clean up their act and play with discipline. They have to know calls are not going their way when it matters so they have to play through it. Now they are in another must-win game in Game 4. When in all reality they should be up 3-0.

Drai was back to his lazy defensive play also. One has to be accountable every day, every game, in order to go deep in the playoffs...no days off.

It’s a strange human study that all the criticism is on the Oilers when the kings blew a lead and potential stranglehold on the series. I guess, even in their detractors minds, Oilers really we’re the favorites and expected to run right through a very good LA team.

Any team featuring the 2 best players in the NHL is going to be the favourites. LA playing a great game though, making this the most exciting series to watch. Much like last year but with a healthy Doughty and Fiala added to the mix. I would expect it to go the distance.

People can have whatever pre-conceptions they wish to have going into a series, but the fact still remains that the refereeing in this series has been dreadful and most of the blown calls have gone against the Oilers. I don't like to complain about refs (especially at minor hockey and lower levels) but it has been obvious in this series and I think people that complain about the refs have a valid argument. It has been really bad.

There are no conspiracies (Betman etc.), that's ridiculous, but Friedman's take on a ref thinking that it's almost an automatic goal if he gives EDM a powerplay is very plausible. Refs are also human, and prone to their own thoughts and biases. leaning slightly to a "no call" against EDM kind of makes sense in that context. In my opinion...

I still have the ability to enjoy Hockey all the while realizing there is some shady sh!t going on. There is a reason why a Canadian team hasn't won since '93. If you don't have the ability to understand it then maybe it's you who shouldn't be watching Hockey.

Don't forget having Arvidsson, as well as the additions of Gavrikov and Korpisalo. Almost a different LA team than we saw last year. And they are so bloody cohesive, top to bottom, they just look much smoother out there than Edmonton most of the time. Would be nice to see more of the Oil bottom 6 hitting the scoresheet.
