I'm not ripping on the officials - they are consistently crap. I'm ripping on the HOW BAD the so called biased hockey media is when covering the Leafs.
and I'm sorry for hitting a nerve - but you really should know better than to try and roll into here and troll. I don't need to taste shyte to know I have it on my shoe.
and yes, that's a direct comment on how I view the vast majority of trollies who venture in from other team's threads.

I could not agree more. The Leafs needed the tougher, grittier defensemen. Sandin will be a one dimensional offensive defenseman. The late first rounder will help balance the traded draft picks and keep a pipeline of talent to continue. We were lucky to win this game, but Monday is another day. If Leafs can win game 4, they'll deflate the Lightning. This series is now winnable. - PrinceLH
Agree on the bolded. Keep the pipeline stocked. |

You know typically if you don't hang out in leaf threads tangling with leaf fans, you save 100% on being called a troll. |

Seattle, 2 quick goals to tie it up. Damn, the West is weak. The only way a Western team has a chance to win, is a beat up team who squeaks out a 7 game war to get to the final and is out of gas. I mean, it's exciting, but it's due to the teams being equally average. The East had 6 of the best teams in the league and any one of them could win the Prince of Wales Trophy. At least we have a new Prince of Wales this year. I regress...Who's the best team in the West? LA? Edmonton? Colorado? Vegas seems MEH as a contender. |

Wow too many comments on here that did not age well to list.
Marner and Willie were both weak in the defensive zone tonight. Willie in coverage and he needed some more consistent compete. Mitch weak fighting for the puck and too many turnovers.
Tampa did a great job tonight pinching and easily winning battles along the boards against our smaller wingers and forcing turnovers.
Gio looked pretty weak tonight. Holl stepped up. Tampa did a great job on the forecheck and we did not seem to get many bounces tonight. Thankfully when we did they were huge like the O'Reilly goal |

That is how it was when the Hawks & Kings were winning cups out west. The shoe is on the other foot now these last few years. |

In all fairness, the Canucks no longer have a thread - thanks Carol. But he's a troll. He hates the Leafs. He's just a little more subtle here than on other blogs.

Back in the day I had to get the NHL package to watch all the west teams. Anaheim, SJ and Kings were disgustingly good. Canucks were fun to watch too

A lot of hype out of Edmonton. LA is showing how to beat Edmonton. Just deny chances to McDavid and Dreisetl and deal with their average goaltending. The Kings could be the surprise team out of the West. Colorado looks beatable.

Honestly, that's the type of game you had to win.
A game you didn't necessarily deserve to win but won anyways. It goes a long ways in a 7 game series. |

Is there somewhere we can get stats that show how much time a player spent in their Dzone Vs the Ozone?
Also an impressive stat is Willie being 0 when JT was -3 and Kerf -2. Shows he played when when given the chance to play with some players that were playing better like Knies and O'Reilly
The best line by far in this series has been Point, Kucherov and Stamkos. They have been a matchup nightmare. Especially for JT. |

He has been so effective, I wouldn't have batted an eye if he was moved up to play with M&M regularly. I love his puck compete, his craftiness and his moves. Defensively - like any 20 year old - he has a LONG way to go, but on the other side of the puck, he's been excellent.

Those were tough teams to beat & yes we were a ton of fun but those days are long gone. Evolving times & tbh watching great hockey playoff action still is the best sport there is. |
