Also - this "Vasilevsky, doesn't have his A game" narrative needs to stop. Leafs are really really good at creating and scoring - that's the difference. Leafs are owning TB's netfront ....Matty with the tip ....RoR and JT with the net-front goals. Game after game ...Leafs getting dirty and outworking the TB D in front of Vasi.

So much butthurt in this thread.

So delicious.

So many using the term "deserve" here. It's like the Leafs get out shot and the goalie is not even part of the team

Of the 18 goalies used in the playoffs, Samsonov ranks 15th in sv% (.878) and Vasilesky is 16th (.853). Nobody is getting goalied.

I don't think he's looked particularly sharp at all this year, especially in the second half. Could be playing hurt.

Full credit for the win, but there was a lot of shot chances that were looked off to try to find a "better" look.

Yeah, I get it, we're a puck possession team, but we've also brought in a lot of dump and chase guys, low to high volume shooting guys; core doesn't seem to want to play that way.

TB was murdering us on that flip out behind our D as Brodie and friends were pinching like crazy. Not sure I want that, considering our D is on the slower side when Schenn/McCabe are in over Lilly/Gus/Timmins, etc.

Brodie had a tough night. And Simpson was hanging Knies for the 3rd goal but no way in hell McCabe should have let him go off that hit behind the net. He's gotta at least stop his momentum so he can't walk out in front of the net.

Raddysh got the jump on Knies then Knies looked like he maybe got his assignment wrong? Who knows. That can easily be a rookie mistake.

I had a much bigger problem with McCabe on that play.

Playing submissive costs extra. I can wear your mom's collar if you'd like.

Are you like 10? Mom jokes are (frank)ing stupid. Especially for those whose mom has passed away.

to me, this is not illogical analysis based upon my history as a laff fanatic🤦‍♂️

i still think that kylie should’ve acquired more jam like poon jenner and greenway🤦🏿‍♂️

hopefully, achachari, lmafferty, mckniesus, and ryan oh’really? aren’t eskirt to go into the corner with hedjob and chernak (if he’s back), set the tone and impose their will for the rest of the series👊

if you’re just here to troll you can go fart through your mother’s nostrils and suck big green donkey Richards👃🏿

that’s my job👊

if you want to talk hockey then i look forward to a lively and free debate 🙌

- Skalapy

The problem is the core. Matthews, Marner, Tavares and Rielly become irrelevant this time of year. I’m not trolling it’s just facts. I don’t mean it annoyingly or in a smuggish way, I wish the Leafs success and to see possibly seven years of the same core losing with no progress….like that will break you dude. I’ve seen guys who have been around losing that much and they’re really just deflated folks. That’s why when the fresh faces come in there’s a honey moon phase where the “core” wants to show off and look robust but when the going gets tough they sort of slither away.
Trade then when they have value and you’d be amazed as the return and how quickly you could propel out of a retool-esque maneuver.

Also McKniesus

But seriously. Tampa has controlled this series since game one.
I’ll repost my comment here because I fully stand behind it. But I’m not trolling. I just have believed since Kadri was traded that this core is toxic. A dude stands up for the team and you point him out? Yet Bunting is given the thumbs up for literally doing something rat like? Kadri would become dirty after someone tried to injure a Leaf - in this case it was Marner, and literally B-lined that guy. Skalapy, you of all people understand what I’m talking about.

Anyway here’s the comment.

Lets see how we come out tonight.

IF Hedman is in need to put it in the corner and hit him hard.

Be nice to have that same intensity and take the series lead.

And first

It’s always a great indication that a team is ready to play when they look lost, confused and timid in the first game of a seven game season.

Being emotionally driven makes it hard to play a full 60 mins.
Tampa will allow Toronto to win the game tonight after their emotionally driven win and when they’re out of gas in game 4 they will tie it and then take the lead back in Toronto.

This was always a seven game series and Tampa is in control.“
