Just park far away, walk there with a sign and pretend you're a radical.

I really don't care to be honest, I'm not intimidated whatsoever, but like I said I kinda hate both of the parties that are at the negotiation table right now and how they've handled things.

I've decided to become an evil scab, for this week I'll be working from home today, tomorrow and Friday, and if I want to work on Wednesday and Thursday I'll have to go through the protesters to get in the building since I'm supposed to be in the office on those days. I probably won't do that this week but I'll have to eventually, I'm not gonna lose a bunch of money over this poop I barely was informed about.

Any way you could send me my son's passport?

For some reason they only sent me my daughter's before this mess started and I'm nervous about our trip.

aww, that sucks man. honestly if I did have connections with folks at the passport office I'd gladly try to help you out, but I don't know anyone that works there.

where are you guys supposed to go, and when?

We leave on may 19th for Punta Cana. First plane trip for my daughter and a much needed week off for everyone.

We're not in trouble yet and since we deposited everything considerably early, I thought we'd avoid the whole thing.... it's just unnecessary stress at this point.

Especially since they somehow had the time to handle one of the two requests that were deposited at the same time.

Where did you go to get yours done? The office itself is where you can call and figure it out. We got ours in 3 weeks and they told us it could take months because we went to the most obscure place in Gatineau.

We went to our local office in Brossard.

My daughter's came in quite fast so I expected my son's to show up in the next few days... then the strike came.

I'll try calling today because I am quite sure they only need to send it but I have no faith in these people (no offense Pat, I like you).

that is a bit weird, but considering it's the government nothing surprises me at all lol... and yeah it does sound like you guys should be fine, I'm guessing your son will be getting his passport very shortly.

When I got mine for Italy in September and they had that insane backlog, they said you could get a placeholder passport that is printable. Hopefully worst case your son could get one of those.
