We've been losing our poop about Kerry Fraser for 30 years.

Rightfully so, (frank) that guy. 🖕

- joel878

what is hilarious about Fraser - is how many tim es he's told a different story or different reason for what happened

I loved it when (I believe) CBC released some footage when releasing whole games I believe where there's an angle which clearly shows the line of sight from where Gretzky's stick hit Glmours face... and you can easily see Fraser looking directly at it .

and of course old helmet hair said for years he couldn't see it.

fast foward - next fabricated excuse.

Except Bunting has scored almost as many goals as that whole line combined.

Bunting 23 goals
4th Line 29 goals

I think not putting Bunting in is a mistake.

A few reasons.

1. He was a top 6 player all year.
2. He's better than anyone on the 4th line.
3. He has the type of energy needed in the playoffs.
4. Tampa will try to get him back, risking some penalties.
5. Benching him sends a message that the team won't stand behind you.
6. He'd likely be crazy pumped coming back in after 3 game.

He should take ZAR or Lafferty's spot.

And like someone else mentioned, if you need to shuffle him up the lineup for a big goal, you have the opportunity.

I wouldn't classify him as good as Tucker, but he reminds me of him.

- Leaffrog

Bunting is a rat like Marchand which every team needs. Only difference is Boston fans love Marchand no matter what stupid poop he does. Leaf fans are all, Omg Buntings such diving winer who needs to be gone. Leaf fans are starting to sound like a bunch of Karens...

I was joking about the running part - too olde too lazy and too fat to run anywhere - I stroll aggressively from place to place

I understand you aren't his biggest fan...and that's cool - I'm not a great admirer either.

However, with that said, the treatment his received is ridiculous. Yes he dives - so have lots of other players.. it does seem to die down with other players... and lots of them yap. Case in point Gallagher. For years all he ever did was plough into the goalie... "of course always by accident and never his fault." Does he still reputation calls now... sure on occasion but even the Habs fans admit that he used to do it all the time - and yap afterwards.

He never received what Bunting has.

ditto Marchand - who has proven repeatedly he is much much more dangerous and dirty.

what does the media do in Toronto - blame Bunting - and always let the officials off the hook.

how many of the TOronto media were complaining or even commenting about Maroon's late hit from behind on McCabe - which I believe we can quite accurately say could have turned out much much worse.

not even a review or call with the league... in short different treatment? why?

- BorjeFan4Ever

Unlike everyone who gets mentioned to compare him to Bunting doesn’t fight. Didn’t at all his first season here, and only did in nearly the last game this year when Perry essentially forced him to up against the bench.

He also doesn’t listen to his coach and puts his own selfish feelings ahead of Keefe routinely.

There’s a reason even Arizona didn’t bring his skill set up to the NHL and it’s become very evident as to what it is. There likely isn’t another coach in the whole bloody league that would put up with him.

Can’t wait til he’s gone and I hope he never sees another game.

That and Marchand is willing to fight unlike that loser who routinely ignores his coach as well.

No. Marchand is absolutely NOT willing to fight. That's what makes him such a scumbag.

This is how Jon Stewart described Marchand during the Bruins-Canucks SCF on 'The Daily Show':

"You are, if I may...if a piece of poop TOOK a poop, and then that piece of poop threw up...and then that throw-up took a poop....thhhhat's you."

I'd say most of those goals were scored playing in the top 6, specially with Matthews and on the PP.
The other players do not have the same opportunity to play with the likes of Marner., Nylander and JT.
I'm no stats person but it would be interesting to see what there goals per ice time compared to the other.

Those are 6 good points you have.
1. No he hasn't a top 6 all year as he has spent some games on the bottom 6
6. I like that energy but will it get him into trouble by be too exuberant
5. To me it says you messed up and lost your spot. now you need to wait until they loose
2. yup but it also depends on the situation
3 i concur
4 here come the drama and another 8 minutes of the ice for the Leafs best sniper.

Willing to fight? Nope he’s not, you’re 100% correct. Will he? If he has to.

That’s not Bunting. He literally held his stick up like a baseball bat at Perry then acted like a victim when Perry went to kick his ass because of that.

I (frank)ing hate Perry too but at least he’s not Bunting.

Also any player willing to ignore his coach shouldn’t be played whatsoever.

The Boston play with Nosek kills me. That was the exact same play except with intent in the waning moments of the game. Zero attention whatsoever.

Bettman's is afraid of Jeremy Jacobs, the owner of the Bruins.

and that's all I'm going to say on that.

Since when is fighting a requirement? We watch 95% of this team run their mouths in a scrum and not drop the gloves all year, every year.

Yep and Perry is cut from the same cloth more often than not. Both he and Marchand won’t fight guys their own size or bigger even if (when) they have done the scumbag thing. They pick and choose who they will fight and when only if they feel they can win.

Example (despite the size difference) is Perry fighting Holl and pounding on his face because Holl can’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag and that’s just one of his flaws.

Holl should be out with Gus or Lilly in. Holl decided bumping his own goalie who was trying to make a save in OT and nearly ending the game was a good follow up to screening his own goalie completely on an earlier goal.

Taking heads saying the Panther slashed the goalie first so it was a wash and no penalties. Uh not sure that’s how it goes but ok. Lol

Allegedly he asked what he could say and was told "anything you want". He then said "Let's (frank)ing go" would be okay? He was told maybe not that one.

If you dive, that’s when.

I know half the fans think he’s useful but half of us hate the loser as well.

It’s an agree to disagree moment I guess.

It's the logic behind it that's tough to absorb. Far from the only leaf we've seen go for a dive, and far from the only leaf that doesn't fight after it.

I don't really care if he plays or not but I can also see the merit behind having a back to back 20 goal scorer in your lineup in the playoffs #freebunting

Nobody dives like him on the leafs at all. If you think someone does please offer a name.

And yet again, he has notoriously ignored his coach numerous times during games. #nomorebunting
