which considering they did the same in the conference final last year, you'd think they would have learned.

That's the most disappointing part. You'd think after last year's playoff experience and bringing in kane and tarasenko's cup winning veteran experience, we'd have bore down and finished them.

Id rather get Torts in there. He might wear thin after a while but he gets guys to play.

Gallant is the same type of coach. Gets early positive improvement, crests, and then decline.

You cant put all of it on them. Taras and Kane did their job in the first 3 games. At some point the Kid line, Zibanejad, Panarin and the 4th line need to help.

Yea I can take losses, it’s not easy to win a cup. But to roll over and die like the last 2 games is inexcusable. They were being out shot 13-1 in the 3rd tonight. If I was Drury I am the first one in that dressing room to curse everyone out
- TPC

100%. No shame leaving it all out there and coming up short. But there are less than a hand full of players that look like they are give any kind of poop. I've never seen a team outshone 20-2 in 3rd when trailing by 3. That says it all. They gave up that 1st goal and folded like a cheap suit. They looked like a team content moving on to next game from midway through the 1st period. You'd think they'd at least get physical and show some emotion. They were embarrassed and manhandled. They had an extra day off between games after being called out for their lack of effort and they respond like this??

I will say, Torts got way more out of a lot less skilled of a team.

His teams had heart. That style took its toll on a lot of players after awhile and they struggled to find goals at times but effort was never a question with those squads.

'I started watching the rangers in 1962 and don’t know what to think after watching two heartless games against a real rival. There’s something wrong with the team make up if this is the effort you get in the playoffs

I think Gallant wears out his welcome faster.

Torts is a one trick pony but I thiink guys believe in it and in him more.

Gerard's never accomplished a damn thing at the NHL level so guys tune him out faster.

Where is that highly touted 'veteran leadership' this team is supposed to have? It's not a young club.

I's still in disbelief that this team was capable of that performance, hands down the most embarrassing loss I can remember over the last decade

I don't think I'll ever see a winner again in my lifetime, this roster is too deep in talent, they just have zero heart outside of a few players, Panarin and Ziba can go as far as I'm concerned, seen enough over the last few years to know they aren't gonna win here, they don't have the drive to play in the playoffs

Shesterkin may very well have the same career as Hank

Between the 2-0 choke job in the ECF last year and this debacle I think he should be fired, someone has to take the fall for such a disgraceful performance, I can't believe this group was capable of such an embarrassing performance

Don’t feel bad. Despite NJ being a better team at every position, every game we get to listen to an endless Rangers love-fest. You guys will ever lead the league in being Rangers and no one will ever compete with that.
- WayneZ

up 3-2 and still whining, your fan base is still an utter joke, "better at every position", please go F yourself with such a dumb comment

Yep considering the spot and the team, the expectations and the start of the series, not learning from a 2-0 lead in the ECF I can honestly say arguably the most embarrassing game in my lifetime

game 5 vs the Devils in 1994 was probably as bad as that last night

Bernie Nicholls scored 2 goals for the Devils that game and I remember feeling like the guy we traded for Messier is gonna be the one who kills us

that game prompted Messier to give the guarantee

but Mark Messier isn't walking through the door again anytime soon, and certainly isn't going to make the 2023 Rangers any faster, this team is too slow

Pens have been down 3-2 in a series and ended up winning the cup that same playoffs. Not that I want to give Rangers fans pep talks, just saying it aint over til its over.

You know it’s bad when you turn on the game less than a minute into the game and see you’re down 1-0. I can’t be the only one that knew the game was over at that moment. The team looks just mentally done and that’s what’s the most concerning. It’s just a demoralizing feeling. The Devils have our # nothing really else to say. They are faster by leaps and bounds and exposing us badly in all aspects. Whether you guys agree with Gallant getting fired or not I am not sure he will be back if they don’t advance.

Really have to take a good hard look at guys who haven’t given you anything and say to yourself maybe it’s time to move on… These 3 in particular based on value and contract situation. Your #1 and #2 overall picks have got to give you production than what they have shown. Oh the pain of being a Rangers fan.

Hate to say it but the devils are just better! They beat us down and we folded like a tent in the third! I’ve been a ranger fan for a LONG time and I’ve never been more disappointed. Msg and the rangers should take all of the “no quit in New York “ spots off the air and burn all of the shirts it’s embarrassing!
