game 5 vs the Devils in 1994 was probably as bad as that last night
Bernie Nicholls scored 2 goals for the Devils that game and I remember feeling like the guy we traded for Messier is gonna be the one who kills us
that game prompted Messier to give the guarantee
but Mark Messier isn't walking through the door again anytime soon, and certainly isn't going to make the 2023 Rangers any faster, this team is too slow - jimbro83
I can accept losing. But not getting outshot 20-2 in the 3rd when you should be desperate for goals. Other than Igor they gave up. Why are we wasting our time watching this? First time I ever thought that about a rangers playoff game last night |

You know it’s bad when you turn on the game less than a minute into the game and see you’re down 1-0. I can’t be the only one that knew the game was over at that moment. The team looks just mentally done and that’s what’s the most concerning. It’s just a demoralizing feeling. The Devils have our # nothing really else to say. They are faster by leaps and bounds and exposing us badly in all aspects. Whether you guys agree with Gallant getting fired or not I am not sure he will be back if they don’t advance.
Really have to take a good hard look at guys who haven’t given you anything and say to yourself maybe it’s time to move on… These 3 in particular based on value and contract situation. Your #1 and #2 overall picks have got to give you production than what they have shown. Oh the pain of being a Rangers fan.
Laf
Panarin
Kakko - Awolff9
It’s sad but they are what they are, solid 3rd line players |

Pens have been down 3-2 in a series and ended up winning the cup that same playoffs. Not that I want to give Rangers fans pep talks, just saying it aint over til its over. - MattStrat

It’s crazy man after game 2 I thought this team was primed for a deep run. I can’t remember the last time I felt that confident in a team. |

Don’t feel bad. Despite NJ being a better team at every position, every game we get to listen to an endless Rangers love-fest. You guys will ever lead the league in being Rangers and no one will ever compete with that. - WayneZ
Even with the Devils winning three straight, you can’t take the Rangers cock out of your mouth. Your little brother syndrome is showing as usual |

I dont expect Trouba to score goals though
this team can't score goals right now, and there's some really highly paid guys on this team who are paid to score goals

Trouba isn't going to score a hat trick let alone one goal. Where is the big hit or helmet throwing? Igor showed more emotion than the whole team.
This kid is in their heads now. They need to do something to wake up tomorrow. |

trying to make heads or tails over what picks we have left because capfriendly has an asterisk next to every draft pick we have the next 3 years, but I am pretty sure if we lose tomorrow, this coming draft we have
1st rounder
3rd rounder
two 6th rounders
we have all our picks in 2024 except our 3rd

Devils are a juggernaut. They’ve built a great team. Better than we did. The fortunes changed when we got Kakko and they got Hughes. The worst part of all this is seeing the Devils probably win more cups then the islanders did in the 80s
Disappointment level high on:Laf, Kakko, Chytil and Miller (not doing nearly enough)
Anger level high on:Zib, Pararin, Fox/Lindgren pair and 4th line (look in the mirror time)
Feel bad level high on:Shesty (he looked like the slap shot goalie last night)
Impressed level high on: no one lol
Kane and Tarasenko aren’t doing enough either but they’ve at least had some chances. Trouba seems quiet also he needs to make a big clean hit
Just win Saturday and put some pressure on them. They’ve played with house money all series which most definitely helps (like us last year)

IDK. I thought Zib had a decent compete level at certain times last night. Other times I thought maybe he was a little defeated by realizing none of his teammates were going to try and match it.
Just an absolutely embarrassing effort. Every one of us cares more than every single member of the (frank)ing team, maybe excepting Igor. It's infuriating. Gallant's idea of adjusting is to move players around and employ the exact same (frank)ing tactics that have been shoved down his throat time and time again. Panarin simply cannot stop himself from passing along the blue line. It's an absolute addiction. Nor will he go anywhere near an area that he might get roughed up.
I am eternally optimistic and I am (frank)ing done.
And if have read one more ridiculously (frank)ing stupid comment from nyranger8675309 about how it's all Kane's fault I might do something drastic. Calling it a lazy penalty when he's the only guy in position to try and prevent a breakaway.
Dumbest (frank)ing thing I've ever heard. |

It's fine. Gallant is doing a job and Gallant though the team played hard. So it's all sunshine and rainbows.
