You and Neem make a cute couple. I’ll reserve a hammock at the picnic for you two to spoon and discuss your hero Bo Horvat - CanuckDon
Once you get over Bo betraying you and moving on to a new team, maybe you can take out your tampon. Please use the trash can. Last thing we need is clogged toilets at the picnic...

How did Bo betray me? I turned on Bo a year and a half ago because I heard from people in the room how much of a goof he was. I continued to give him the benefit of the doubt but another year of being a soft b!tch had me at my limit. I’m just glad he is gone and is another teams problem.
You need to let go dude. He doesn’t care about you. I have zero personal beef with him. I’ve had dinner w the kid a few times and he is a nice dude. He just isn’t a player I want on my team and certainly not at his insane contract

Bo was never going to sign here for what was affordable for us, he had to be traded because the money that we could have used to sign him was given to Boeser and Miller instead. He wasn't used to the culture/system on the Islanders so yeah, he didn't play that great. Give him the off-season and pre-season and he should be about where he was on the Canucks at least for 3 or so years before he starts to decline.
He got screwed around by management on his contract negotiations and had to deal with an increasingly hostile and impatient fanbase that got on him for no other reason than he was the captain and the face of the franchise along with a media that kept asking questions that implied that there were issues in the dressing room that he wasn't going to answer (whether that was true or not). I don't blame him one bit if after having left the circus that was this team that he vented about it.
Was it ok? Probably not, but when you grind a guy down like he was dealing with all the crap that came from being Captain Canuck when fans were expecting leadership in the vein of Smyl or Linden or Henrik who mentored him in the role as well as success which wasn't going to happen with how many issues the team had all over on and off the ice it's understandable.

Oh come on... the way you cry about him non stop says it all despite you cloaking it with spite.
Look, deflecting your obsession over him onto people that don't bring him up is failing miserably. Take a second and reflect how it looks. It's sad. Don's little tragedy.
Most in here have moved on.... in spite of your constant whining about him. Maybe go snivel about how he let you down in the Islanders thread. You'll probably get some sympathy in there regardless of how pathetic it comes across.
I really liked Mogilny. Underrated for some reason even though he had a couple of monster seasons here. Some people claimed he was lazy but not true at all. If you compare to Bure, he was better at 2 way and offense both. Just not as flashy...
Great personality... witty and a healthy dose of (frank) you at the same time.

One of my funniest Mogilny memories was when he was carrying the puck and Messier reaches out and takes it off his stick and skates away with it like a puck hog. Mogilny throws his hands up and says WTF? Messier ruined the rush with that move.... to no surprise.
I’ve been thinking why Vancouver just can’t win anything ever. And I think it comes down to that we don’t fully commit to anything. I think the Canucks need to identify with the city of Vancouver(Self proclaimed Gayest city on earth) firstly and hockey, secondly.
1st) need to find the first openly Trans and non-binary players.
2nd) Vancouver needs to make its jerseys rainbow color and be super bright, maybe some glitter is in order?
3rd) Change the goal song to: it’s raining Men.
I think if the Canucks embrace the true identity, culture and Heritage, they’ll be able to be embraced and identified with, with the local populace. The Canucks would be true to the city of Vancouver and have great success. This combination could ride our beloved Nucks all the way to the cup.

But faceoffs! But intangibles 😍 - CanuckDon
On a mediocre Canucks team that had very little success he was (until this year when EP40 took the next step in his game) the best two-way forward on the team. Was he the best player? No. Was he the best captain? He did his best and at least stood in front of a hostile press and answered as many hard questions as he could.
It just was time for him and the team to move on, the money that could have been used to sign him went rightly or wrongly to Miller and Boeser and he wasn't going to accept a contract that didn't pay him what he felt he was worth. Nothing more, nothing less, the fact that he didn't do well on the Islanders is because he got traded at the deadline and didn't have much time to get used to the culture, system and style of play so of course he wasn't as good as he was on the Canucks.

Not to take this post very serious but...
Canucks dont win Stanly Cups. They have won other things. Before you say nothing else matters, then just say they don't win cups.

They also don’t win Stanley Cups or draft lottos. They haven’t won anything in 12 years. If you lived to 70, you might see them win a conference 6x in your life and play for the cup 3-4x.

Don't forget, the name Canucks is racist because it brings to mind lumberjacks who take away trees from traditional native lands so instead we should be called the Vancouver Hockey Team so that we aren't being offensive. We also need to have a representative hockey player from each tribe that we recognize as being on their land. We also should get Cammie Granato to put the uniform on because we can't forget that birthing people can be players too.

I don't know how young you are but I saw them win the president's Trophy.
