Wow, it must have been really, really expensive, because once they have your real name and address, those memberships were killer expensive.
On e upon a time, I lived in Whistler Mountain staff housing. 98% of my mail was from Columbia House for Ben Dover, Connie Lingus and Hugh Jass. - Atomic Wedgie
You would get like what 8 or 10 or something and all you had to do was buy 4. So I would join, get my free ones, and buy all 4 other ones I wanted and quit immediately.
Then I think I had to wait a while (like a year?) before I could join again. I think it worked out to be like $4 a CD or something.
Shouldn't be smiling so much at others' misery. Developed a bit of an unhealthy penchant for scrolling through the HF Boards after teams I dislike get ousted. I'd do it here, but they might as well rename this site "leafbuzz".

Love Purple Rain, but meh on it being a top 10 album.
Prince however may be the most talented song writer musician ever. He was excellent at most insturments, was a sick guitar player (My Guitar Gently Weeps WOW) and he wrote songs for so many artists - jribout
He was definitely one of the most or the most talented musicians of all time, all things considered. Elton John is up there for me also.
How about George Harrison, All Things Must Pass? Another, Rubber Soul, The Beatles. It only had the best composition of a song in the 20th Century. "In My Life" Every song was solid on that Album (EMI Version) - PrinceLH

Nice.
Everybody Wants to Rule the World is such a joyful tune.
You can’t not like it.
Fun fact: they filmed their Head Over Heals video at U of T’s Robarts Library. - Atomic Wedgie
1980s olde guy fun fact... "Shout" was the best single tune (my opinion) from that album and sounded fantastic in the 1969 Mercedes 280SL convertible with the roof off... full Pioneer sound system while cruising the autobahn.
while it was largely not great music the Top Gun soundtrack was my second favourite at the time.

I like the Thachuk/Matthew-Marner competition and the goalie situation seems better for the Leafs v Panthers.
Bruins might've been too many dragons to slay too fast for the boys after just beating the Lightning and getting out of the first round, but damn that would've been good series.
So what do you fellow Leafers think: are we better suited to beat the Panthers or would've we been better with the Broons match up??? - underhill14
It'll be a wide open, high scoring series. Both teams will trade chances. You can bet the Leafs scorers will have saucers for eyes. Leafs were always a quicker team than Boston, but couldn't match them defensively. I'm guessing that Florida will be nursing some injuries after that axe war with Boston.

It would be the perfect time to rename it because I'm pretty sure it's the first time the Leafs have advanced since the site launched.

You already know 20 of her songs.
You just don’t know it yet. - Atomic Wedgie
Carol King and Gerry Goffin were writing hits for others may years before she released Tapestry. An excellent easy listening album. It would probably best fit into the folk genre.
