To many soft players that expect their skill to offset their lack of determination. I said it all season, those plays that u get the oo’s and aahh’s from don’t work in the postseason when the game gets tighter. Kane isn’t the reason we lost the series, but adding players like him at this point in his career don’t help you win. - nyrangers9479
It’s clear as day now… but at the time they had to make that move. Lesson learned. Drury is going to have his hands full. |

Ehhh I think it’s easy to say there is no chance to improve but there’s always ways. Othman needs to be given a chance come training camp obviously. Panarin definitely is going to be a guy they are going to look at and say ok we have to shop him around. I could see a team like Anaheim or San Jose be interested. Just not sure what his NTC looks like. - Awolff9
I know Drury was pissed with Panarin after last years playoffs. Can’t imagine what he is thinking now |

Gallant on the disappointment of the #NYR not coming through with all the talent they assembled:
"Talent doesn’t mean a thing... You’ve got to play together and work together… I love to have talent, but you love to have work ethic and more forecheck and stuff like that." - bonzo11
Drury didn’t give him the roster he wanted, I’ve said it numerous times. Kane was the shiny toy that looks good but u don’t need. I’d get rid of Panarin Laf and see what Miller would get. He’s the softest 6’5 guy on the ice when he’s not spitting on guys. I said it before, if ur going to go after a guy for taking out ur goalie, GO AFTER HIM! You’re getting the penalty anyway! That was more, look, I defended him so no one can say I didn’t, but I really didn’t do anything. |

Best thing Gallant has said all season. 100% correct. |

I don’t think Drury wanted Kane. I think Dolan made Drury go get Kane. Miller isn’t going anywhere |

I originally wanted Tarasenko back but don’t know how you can justify it now with little cap
Space and him Turning 32 next season |

I mean, I thought it was clear as day at the time also. I said it over and over again, to many changes to the roster never ends well for teams. Look at FLA last year vs this year. Look at the Pens the years they won (depth moves) vs the years they lost (added a bunch of guys, high picks traded etc). Same goes for Tampa when they won, they added depth guys that hustle and work hard, not more flash that doesn’t work come playoff time. |

Trading Panarin changes it all. I wouldn’t even expect a big return, more just for the cap space, maybe the Isles still want him 😂 |

If a team offered you a 1st for Kakko or Laf, would you take it? I thought I saw a rumor earlier this season that NY was shopping Laf. - SuperHenderson13
Laf I would move for a 2nd. He's slow. His shot is subpar. He doesn't have enough skill to be top 6 or enough grit to play bottom 6. He's just not any better than Motte or Vesey and doesn't look like he will be. Now with the cap crunch he is going to need a raise and he just doesn't produce.
I like Kakko. I would still consider moving him for a 1st in a decent draft. Unfortunately I don't know that this organization can consistently draft successfully or develop talent if they do. |

I think Tarasenko will take a team friendly contract to stay if we want him. |

Yea I would be willing to eat 3 million or so too. 8 million of cap sounds nice |

I love tarasenko but I'd let him walk. no cap room and quite a few adjustments needed. Rangers need to get a hell of a lot faster |

I think we gotta remain patient with the kids. I’ll give them all one more year. |

I still wonder what would have happened if we traded for Eichel and moved Zib in another deal to clear the cap and replenish the assets lol |

I can’t hear that poop right now
I really think one of them is gone this off-season since we can’t really trade anyone else. Not gonna be chytil because he just got his shiny new contract |

The year is 2034. “Give the kids just one more year” they cry. The kids are in their mid 30’s now and each have scored 40 points per season for 12 straight years. A giant black hole opens up at center ice of MSG and swallows us all. The pain is over. We can finally rest |
