This date in ‘92, Rangers beat the devils 8-4 in game 7 - Slimtj100
that was crazy game, Rangers went up 6-1 and Devils actually came back to within 6-4

They’re going with Schmid? I think they finally solved him a bit - Slimtj100
Last I heard, Lindy was keeping the starter decision to himself.... so IDK.
Personally, I'd go back to Vitek; although I also would have put him in the third period of the last game to see how that played out....
I think this is the real problem for the Devils. Either guy isn't as good as Igor. I think we are also at a disadvantage with how many elimination games you've guys have played. This is pretty uncharted territory for us. We're at home, which preferable, but hasn't made much difference to anyone this series... or for the season for us. Add that the games have been all over the place and I have no idea what to expect tonight. |

Whatever happens, if you guys lose, its still considered a successful season, if we lose, not so much. |

It feels great to be out of he rebuild and to feel like this team is going to be fun and competitive for a while. We have two exciting defensive prospects in Luke Hughes and Simon Nemec and the offense is already pretty good. The goaltending is still not where you want it. But compared to last year, this has been a really fun ride.
Expectations for you guys are understandably different. Nobody wants to bow out early after a deep playoff run the year before.
I guess on the plus side for everyone, the Rangers - Devils Rivalry is back to nuclear.
Now it's up to the players and the Hockey Gods. |

Yup. Definitely makes the regular season games fun to watch too knowing the rivalry is back.

Very similar spot to us last year vs the Pens. We had our dud games in 3-4 you had them in 1-2.

I'll be cheering the Rangers on tonight and when they win, I'll be hoping they defeat Carolina so that condition on the Kane trade kicks in. Heck, I hope you guys go all the way. A NY-TOR ECF and a NY-EDM SCF would be great. |

Hopefully they realize the importance of a game 7 and let both teams play and only call the blatant penalties. |
