I think it's realistically possible to trade Hanifin. Lindholm I can't see it. They need some cap relief and Joker could provide that. And he'd be a cheaper re-sign than Noah. Build a trade on that. - TheSabresTaco
Would he lift his m-ntc to come here? |

Man Beaner lighting it up on some of these signings. Hopefully the Sabres get to a point where FA will take less to come here. Different sports, but a Blueprint for Adams to look at. |

So, back to your question of can Mitts be considered a 2C, it's a good discussion. There are arguments to be made on both sides.
Some GM's may view his past season as the breakout year and think they can "buy cheap" on him. Others may want to see more consistency before trading away a valuable asset before knowing what they are actually acquiring.
I would think that with the type of quality assets you mentioned, the latter would be more prevalent...but that is just my opinion. - IonSabres

I read someone on Sabres Twitter say that they trust Adams more than Beane at this point and I almost fell out of my chair.
Beane has built a yearly contender. Sabres haven't played a god damn playoff game yet.
I mean I forgot Adams was a top 5 GM though |

I've been saying since the moment he was appointed GM, Kevo's been sleeping in Beane's office every night. Well. maybe not last night, Kev went to the bar.
He's running his team like Beane is, and I don't see a negative in doing so. |

I had to burn my Kucherov shirsey the other day and I cried for seven hours straight. If my heart and soul Matthews loses against the Cats, I will be in a seriously dark place.

Boston had 4.5M in overage bonuses. means they start 23-24 at 79M cap. They have about 73M in costs for next season.
With 7F, 6D, 1G
Before Luna yells at me, that 4.5 is technically a cap charge, so really it's more like 77.4M cap hit for next season with 83.5M cap max, leaving Boston with 6M to add 6-7 forwards 1-2 D and 1 G.
I bet they trade one of their goalies. Swayman for UPL, no taksies backsies. |

I’ve mentioned this here (I think).
The east teams like the bruins, leafs, rangers, and Tampa went all in this year for a cup using draft picks +++.
Those teams will disband and fall apart.
Mean while teams like the caps and pens just keep going older and older and aren’t as good
The Sabres if they add the correct pieces aka another goalie 1A / 1B and a top 4 d.
We could be primed for takeoff |

Yeah I just did a CF. They gotta trade someone. But like NYR, they’ve backed themselves into a corner with some NMC. They went for it, and got their peepee slapped |

I'm not counting out any of those 4 you mentioned at the top. They're all still very strong teams. Bruins are going to have to sacrifice their depth. Leafs still have their core but may need to make similar sacrifices, having 7.5M to sign a lot of depth back. Rangers are fine. Tampa is in trouble and will need to get a lot of cheap depth. Can definitely say goodbye to Killorn. They have 2.4M to sign 8 players.
Tampa may need to shed a player they don't want to lose.
Edit- This includes Brent Seabrook's 6.9M, so they likely have about 9.3M to sign 8 players. |
