Cause I couldn't squeeze Luneau out in the deal. This was a Ducks fan start of a Trade. They wanted 13 for Gibson and I said that would never happen and a sweetener needed to be added. If anything ever was thought of this I was just trying to get something added that would help us even more. And Hellenson is basically a Samuelsson clone. Better skater, but not as physical yet.

Reread it. The discourse was actually pretty reasoned which is pretty shocking considering what people will argue about on here. Props to Ion and Sabre in particular for adamantly defending the kids rights. The less temperate people are the usual suspects. Let’s not forget that we still don’t know exactly what happened. A real shame that it potentially ruined this kids career though. That should never happen. Allegations should never determine a persons fate.

Bennet rips a player down from behind unexpectedly and slam's his head off the ice. I get hes your guy but thats as inconsistent as you can get.

Knies put himself in a bad situation. The momentum took them into the boards in a tangle. Watch their legs when they are in the tangle. Knies’ leg pushes Bennett’s leg out and then they fall. idk get the whole slammed his head bullpoop, his head never hit the ice, for one. And Bennett never slammed him at all. The veteran made damn sure he wasn’t gonna get the worst of it, but he never did any of the things you claim.
Bunting took a blatant cheap shot at Cernak, not even comparable. He certainly did more than just “stick his elbow out”....and I’m no fan of Cernak or the Bolts, but that was intentional and deserved punishment.

I lean toward Pelik for the D-men though. If he was taller he'd be a top 10 pick. Reinbacher looks like he needs some work but you can't teach that reach.

Take those blinders off big guy. You can't wrap your arms around a guys head/neck and pull him down to the ice. IF Bennet doesnt wrap his head up like a tortilla there legs never get tangled. Sam needs to keep on trucking instead of getting his pants all twisted from a rookie. How does Knies get a concussion if he doesn't hit his head? From the initial angle you can't tell but from the back angle you can clearly see Bennet taking Knies head to the ice.

Yeah they debated hard who to take at 16 because they really wanted Kulich and Ostlund and took Ostlund first, thinking they would try to trade up for Kulich.

Also keep in mind our prospect center depth was embarrassing before that draft started.

You could get him at the back end of the first round. I don't even like Reinbacher at 13. I see nothing special about him in a draft full of spectacular prospects

I don't get the whole ignored the goalie position narrative. They tried getting guys but the trades fell through every time. Could they maybe have gotten someone better? We don't know, I doubt the good ones didn't wanna come here cause the not so good ones wouldn't even wave.
