Totally. As if the $$$$$$ isn't enough? If you're going to give a player a NMC the $$ should be lower. - Fenrir
Personally, I want to see league go back to having no upper limit. Because I want see how teams would actually spend money. Just have a floor. Like let teams like Tampa, Colorado, Toronto, Boston, New York, Edmonton and Vegas spend as much as they want.

Right if the owner wants to spend let them
Spend. It will weed out all the cheap owners

But also you have to be smart about it.
No cap before 2005. Teams like Dallas, Detroit, Colorado and New Jersey were smart about it. Vancovuer, Toronto and The Rangers could never figure it out. The only 2 forces actually stopping that are the League and the owners.
Rivalry/bias aside, to the best of my ability anyway, I don't think particularly highly of either Kakko or Lafreniere...but it would seem pretty stupid to give up and dump them for nothing at rock-bottom value. I don't think that really sends any sort of message to the team.
a missile should hit your arena over this - jimbro83
The R9X Flying Ginsu would be the preferential choice there, to minimize collateral damage. All those people sit in the same section so it's an easy target.

Oh no. they are what they are, 3rd liners. Also Drury didn't draft them. So I expect them to be moved.

I can’t see it bcs they are still cheap depth even if they are third liners. There’s also still the chance that one or both find their game. It wouldn’t make sense when you could invest that money elsewhere. What do you realistically think you will get for them?

I honestly have no idea. But Drury has made this type of move before. So it's not out of the realm of possibilities that he trades one or more of them if he is disappointed with them. Rangers have also made these types of mistakes before Drury too. So this isn't totally his fault either.

After a solid 24 hours of pain I’m starting to come back to reality. Would it really be a horrible thing to run it back one more time? This was an extremely difficult series to lose after being up 2-0 BUT man the Devils are good. Rangers need to get faster no doubt but I’m just trying to think that first of all nobody is taking Panarin but if we were to move him are we really better off without him?
I still believe this team has the proper core moving forward and just ran into a team that played better. I know that’s an extremely hard sell to the fanbase right now. I saw a Rangers team that really struggle with pressure and expectations. Game 3 turned the series obviously and the pressure mounted. I kinda compare it to Carolina last season. Maybe Othman can turn into next years version of Mercer from the Devils.
Last years team kinda took us all by surprise with how far they went. Don’t think anyone expected them to go to the ECF. This season they played a team who had an unbelievable season and woke up in the playoffs. It stings with how they lost and how lethargic they were in game 4,5,& 7 and for those reasons the only thing I would consider changing is the coach. Whether we think Gallant is the problem or not sometimes a coaching change is just necessary at the right time.

Cpt pretty much said what I was thinking. They're cheap and I wouldn't totally rush to declare them a bust, although it doesn't look promising. They'd be sold for relatively nothing.

exactly, considering we're in cap hell we need cheap players and that's what they are, no matter how disappointing they've been
