Don’t hate it.
The one thing we know Drury is always aggressive. He can’t be happy. Really wonder what happens |

It really isn’t bad at all. Those last 3 years of the buyout guys like Kreider and Panarin will be gone too and the cap will be way higher |

Do you really think they are going to buyout their newly appointed Captain?
Not only that but the numbers are (frank)ing horrendous. |

It’s not going to happen but if zibanedrury were in charge he’d do it. Gotta switch up the vibes and send a message. Also, $8m is wayyyy too much for him |

I feel like I am living in crazy town where for the first time they won't have any dead cap and we have people that want to buyout players. |

I agree, but with the cap increasing potentially significantly over the next few years I would rather just leave him alone making his money, and let him ride out his contract. There are worse problems than Trouba on this team. |

Would you rather Trouba at 8 million or no Trouba at 4 million and a much cheaper 3rd paid option? I mean it won’t happen but it really would help us next year. The last year of the shyty cap |

That's not true. This year, 100% a no show. - tomburton99
Yes Tom it is, the majority of Panarins points last year, 16 in 20 games, 9 were on the PP so 5on5 he had 7 points in 20 games, unacceptable for an 11.6m per player. Worst yet his defensive play was just horrible and his back checking was non existent. |

There’s no other way to fundamentally change the composition of the team really but I digress |

Add the cheaper player's salary to the dead 4+mil and it starts to feel less worth it. |

Finally freeing up about $3.5MM and some people want that all over again. Have a bad feeling a buyout is coming. |

I don't think they're going to change the core makeup of this team. There will be personnel moves due to exiting players but not a ton of change.

Maybe they can get a less dead brain partner for Trouba and move Miller down to third pair. He certainly played himself to a lower contract. |

Lets face it, the whole team let down, not just Panarin, Mika and Fox so this tells me this was more of a coaching failure than an individual player let down. Its the coaches job to put his players in the best position to succeed, to get the most out of his players. If the Rangers had lost to the Pens last year if we didnt play their 3rd string goalie and knock Cindy out and this years loss in the first round, would GG really be the coach for next season?? |
