I love Kreider but wouldn’t hate seeing him win a cup with someone else. It’s not happening here, not with this core

I mean tbf to kakko he managed 40 points playing mostly on the 3rd line and no pp time.

and Kakko isn't wrong. I've mentioned this before, but the kid had 13 PP points as a rookie (more than 50% of his total 23 points). since his rookie year, 8 total PP points across THREE seasons out of 75 total points. give the kid PP time.

I get it, all makes sense

This is gonna go one of two ways on here but I think Vally needs to brought on in some capacity. His knowledge and understanding of the game from a practical and analytical standpoint are absolutely top notch. There's literally no downside to giving him some sort of position where he could help infuse that into the team's DNA

I have the exact opposite opinion on this:

Trouba was one of the few players that left it all on the ice. He knocked Meier into next week with a Trouba train hit in the 3rd period. Absolutely no quit!

Kreider? Had an absolutely miserable game when it counted the most. Why would you want to switch the letters on these two players sweaters? Helmet throw by Trouba turned our season around in December --- players clearly responded to his emotions and actions. That's the CAPTAIN that I want!

Kreider is a great player and a team leader. But he isn't worthy of the "C"...
