I wonder if he knew for a while he would get fired after the season since the disconnect has been going on for a while. Why he seemed to not give a shyt in any press conference lol - TPC
Good point, he seemed so nonchalant. |

2 first rounders!! Hopefully stars don’t get to the final 4, although picks 20-30 are crap shoots anyway. - TC88
no, we only have 1 first rounder, the crappier one goes to St Louis for Tarasenko

and you know what, thank goodness there is a reason to get focused on the draft, because if we didnt have a first round pick on top of that it would be much worse - jimbro83
Yep. Then you would be the Islanders. |

It's the arrogance. Especially yesterday. Like don't sit there with that stupid grin on your face and explain why you did a good job. You didn't. Just admit it. - tomburton99
That’s the thing with Gallant. When you take a look at regular season results he looks great.
When you peel things back not so much. Top prospects haven’t developed and he said that’s not part of his job. 5v5 play was still below avg. There were a lot of things he could’ve done better but he’s a players coach and they don’t last too long |

That there’s Islander fans that still support trading Raty and a first for Horvat makes it more funny. |

I think Horvat is a solid player. But it seems he is being paid to be a top line player. See him more as a 2nd line center. And yea a 1st and Raty is steep |

That's not all on Gallant. There is a serious culture problem with the Rangers and player they draft. Idk why. the only ones that worked out on this roster thus far is Kreider, but that was 15 years ago when he was drafted and now Shesterkin. |

I don't get it man. I'll never get it. |

So if we move on from GG, and Q is not the choice which I think a large portion of the fanbase would not like, where do we go?
Likely will be a guy more of the ilk of torts/quinn rather than a players coach like AV/GG but I don't see them going the college route like quinn this time, they need someone with experience.
Are the Pens firing Sullivan? I'd take him back. Knoblauch? No NHL experience but from what I've read has been good in Hartford and was good for the couple games he coached the rangers last year or whenever that was.
Dare I say Sutter? We'll be even more annoyed with the post game interviews |

Nothing made me happier than the fact that he was part of the deal. |

GG I think is retained and fired mid year once the wheels come off

Possible. Maybe they keep GG and fire some of his staff like Mike Kelly |

For me, hard pass on Sutter given some of the whispers from Calgary as to lack of connectivity with the players. |

Yeah, they hated him. There are no good options on who to replace GG with. So that's where we are. |

Don’t love it so far. The fact he couldn’t find chemistry with any wingers is not ideal since he is turning 30 and still has 6 years left on his deal |

That is going to be such a bad look on Drury. Just cut the cord now if you are that close to firing him anyway. It’s easier to find a coach in the off-season then mid season |
