Not the best of starts but long series and need to just bounce back and get on a tear here.
- Roadrunner75

Teams in the 1st round who won their 1st games were 2-6.

You win by making the right adjustments. I believe.

Leafs win 4 games within the next 5 games is my prediction.

Wow really come back to tie it 2-2 then lose 4-2?

Now a must win in game 2 at home for the Leafs.

- LordHumungous

No such thing as a "must win" game unless it's literally an elimination game.

I was told this dog on tik tok got all the leafs wins correct last series and correctly "picked" the panthers to win last night....and subsequently the leafs to win the series. So...

Agreed, I think for the most part as the game went on the Leafs dealt with the fore check better.. Next game I would hope they have that figured out.

Also, I don't think Bob plays that well again in the series.

Suggested Leafs gameplan :

1) Dress Holl, but give him specific instructions to assassinate Tkachuk. First shift send him to Cernak Island. That removes the engine that drives their offense and it only costs you Holl. You run 11/7 anticipating the ejection of Holl.

2) Grind out a win against the Tkachuk-less Cats, then do the same thing in the next game to Montour. Doesn't matter who does it, just pick your least valuable player you can afford to have suspended. Win another game against a Tkachuk-less and Montour-less Florida.

3) Lather rinse repeat as needed,

Wear special blood-red third jerseys for the occasion.

There was a hamster or gerbil or whatever that was trading crypto for a while and was winning. Then he died. So it goes.

Thanks Fake, now I can breath.

Also for the rest of you, Schenn's hit on Thachuk on our blue line last night was gooey, gooey, goodness!!!

(I like Thachuk, just like the hits at the blue line so the forwards of the opposition keep their heads on a swivel and don't blow passed like when (ass)Holl is on the ice)

This is quite sad to be honest

Agreed. Imagine cheering against the home team to such a degree that you're willing to purchase a set of jerseys for every other team?

Habs won the cup that year, you lost in the first round to the worst team qualifying.

I hope your right but my feeling at the moment is that the Panthers will fluke this one out in the end.

Except there is a * there since the Habs didn't get the benefit of any loser or ot points.

But look on the bright side the Bruins do own and/or share some exciting new records with no * beside them:

Blowing a 3-1 series lead and falling 4-3 to the Panthers tonight, the #NHLBruins pass the Maple Leafs for the most Game 7 losses by an NHL franchise (15), the Capitals for the most Gm7 home losses (10) and tie the Caps, Flames and Avalanche for the most Gm7 home losses in OT (3)

Those Habs also didn't have a salary cap. **

What's the record for not making it to 2nd round of playoffs?

I don't think Montreal was outspending everyone like the 2002 Detroit RedWings.

Technically it's the same, but specifically you're right. It's the points percentage. Total Points / Total Possible Points.

Edit: And I'll further caveat that I started after expansion - so 1968 onwards. Prior to that hockey was 2 rounds in the playoffs (hence the 8-armed octopus they throw in Detroit - one for each required win).

Why are you tracking to see when the big bag Bruins can lock up that record too?

Boston Strangler / Boston Chokers - seems fitting.

You should go back to the Bruins thread so you can whine some more about the officiating when a glove pass was made and called, odd I thought it was only Leaf fans who blamed losses on the refs?

Scabeh and I were having a little fun at each other expense.

Then you all decided to pile on me for no reason.

I'm not the one being a jerk here.

Go back to the Bruins thread where you poop talk the leafs and show your true colors.
You were all vocal and Bunting when he got suspended and went radio silent when Nosak did the same thing you hypocrite.
