with Price on LTIR, Habs are good cap space wise for next season. It could be a bit tight with Caufield extension and the trade for Dubois and his next contract. RHP shouldn't be too expensive, I am expecting 1.5M/yr for 3yrs.

There's no denying his talent, every time he has the puck, he's dangerous.

But you can certainly question his capacity to raise the level of his game to match the intensity of the playoffs.

I see Rielly, Nylander, Marner give everything they have out there. Too many shifts where Matthews isn't involved in the play.

Not sure what you're watching but that error aside, Matthews has been great. Just isn't shooting it as well as he did last year. I think when it's all said and done we're going to find out he's needed wrist surgery most of the year. Barkov has been very good defensively this playoffs...not so much offense though. Letting Tka(frank) and Verhaege seems to have allowed them to get the easier matchups.

So the Habs have 1.7M in bonus that will go against the cap next season....and it is the last year the Alzner buyout will count at 833K. That's 2.5M in lost cap space.
