gallant is gonezo. the rangers have been a pretty meh team 5 on 5 for a few seasons. that is a problem for them. Zibby is the only guy they have who drives play consistently. kreider is a pp specialist.

not sure how much you can blame drury to this point. their young guys just haven't taken the next step. miller, laf, kaapo and to a lesser extent chytil haven't really improved their games. trochek is meh since the injuries and panarin has never been the guy in the playoffs.

I'd rather the Habs use the assets to pick someone that could be better, but may turn out to be something somewhat similar if it does not work out.

I just do not think Laffy will ever be the player everyone thought he would be.

he is 21 with 3 full seasons in the nhl already. he doesn't skate very well and that will keep him from ever being what you want the 1OA to become. honestly, the guy you take at 17, for example, will most likely have the same career as Laf.
