At 5, if all those drafts list are respected, it should be one of Smith or Michkov. Small chance Carlson slips and if both him and smith are gone and HuGo don’t want the Russian, we could have a surprise.

Both are great players and will be keep assets in the long term.

They had 60% chances of moving down to 6 or 7 so that’s a positive.

We will have to trade for Fantilli in a few years.

This is gonna be a 5-7 year problem, at the very least.

2-3 G ranked in the 2nd round, wouldn't be a bad idea

If they keep the Florida pick, that seems probable.

there's always surprses. nobody thought Shane Wright would fall to 4, or Caufield to 15 for that matter.

they would need something really good to do that

not sure another dach would be enough

The Florida pick is another story but you dont get much with pick 29-30. At 17, it really was something else.

I have to say Fantilli didn't impress me much at the WJC last winter.
never saw him before or since, but he didn't have a good tournament.
Carlsson was better imo.

Unless you trade that Florida pick + another asset for a lower pick in that range (17th).
