I think having a opportunity to make other Russians players see this as a landing point is good but like any other nationality it is not the only option for the team.

I hate them, but, they do have a good team. They’ve made the playoffs seven straight years and four of those years they had 100 or more points, five if they play a full season in 20/21. They just haven’t been able to find the right mix…thankfully.

Teams with depth and sandpaper go further, look at Florida and Seattle, gotta have those bottom six guys make a difference in the playoffs.

You obviously need those high-end talented players but if you have no depth you can shut them down in the playoffs. Barkov was matched up against Matthews and gave him nothing. No one else scored.
