The thing is their star core aged out so they could move on. All they gave up on was Dach and Debricant. Those guys are not QH and Petey level. Plus no Demko goalie. Canucks would risk the circle just goes around to find those caliber players again plus fill around them at the same time.

Were you surprised by this? Chicago is a huge hockey market that has been fading with the scandal and a poop team. United center at 83.7 % capacity this season. 3rd lowest in the league. There wasn't a hope in hell for anyone else.

Chicago got fined $1 million for the Kyle Beach situation with no punishment re:draft picks like the Coyotes got for testing prospects.
Within the first 2 hours after the draft lottery last night they sold $2.5 million in season tickets for next year. |
