Saskatchewan needs a team. Imagine the Rider Green on iceđ§
- Shuswap Wap
Would sell out every game but much like Manitoba try getting players to want to be there and stay. Tough. |

Hopefully the Coyotes move to Portland. They already have an arena that seats about 19000 |

Never draft for need at the top of the draft, later, sure. Sometimes it can workout but generally it disappoints. Empirical data doesnât lie! - LeftCoaster
I fully agree. Itâs not like we have an abundance of blue chip prospects.
I think the fanbase has been duped into thinking mediocre prospects is an abundance. And weâve for the most part been tricked into believing that by the team brass. Thatâs why weâve been in mediocrity for a decade.
Our cupboards are bare when it comes to high end prospects. But thereâs probably 10 elite forwards available in this years draft. It would be foolish to not pick one of them. |

The Athletic.
âMatvei Michkov scored the most KHL points by a draft-eligible player in history, topping the likes of Panarin, Tarasenko and Kaprizov.
Michkov's special talent is evident on tape too. Here's why he's the best Russian prospect since Alex Ovechkin:â - LeftCoaster
Heâs probably going to be a Malkin or Kucherov level of player. But heâs signed in the KHL for a long time and thereâs talk that he doesnât want to come to North America.
However if he does, he might be available when the Canucks are on the board⌠since we like to draft 1st rounders that bust or need 3 years of development more than half the time, I say take him. |

The perfect reason why they are going to trade away this pick, they'll spin it in a way to keep the idiots buying tickets, jerseys, over priced beer and crap food. |

He will not be available. He will be gone top 3 at the latest top 5.

After years of high drafting and receiving a plethora of draft picks, The Coyotes are going to get the fuck out of Dodge. |

Shocking that a desert state full of retirees and latinos might not buy hockey. Iâm just shocked. - neem55
Same applies to Atlanta where transient relocated fans donât support local teams. Hockey failed twice. |

The BPA mentality needs to go. Fill your needs and go off the board to get a RHD that we need. - LordHumungous
Say Reinbacher is gone which is good possibility this makes no sense. If you want ASP then that opens up a huge debate on if another offensive D is the âNEEDâ. |

I agree when elite talent is there to go BPA but I generally see our needs being more important in this retool situation FA dictates. At 11oa itâs in a range where many prospects can be picked in any order. With D & C being biggest needs & a C most likely is there for us I see that a BPA situation. I still hold out for a trade down. |

After years of high drafting and receiving a plethora of draft picks, The Coyotes are going to get the fuck out of Dodge. - VANTEL
What is âhigh draftingâ? Because in the past 20 drafts the Coyotes have had ten top 10 picks, the Canucks have had eight top 10 picks.
Also, if you omit 2022, where the Coyotes clearly tanked, and go back six drafts, theyâve picked 46 times, the Canucks picked 40.
Drafting has nothing to do with why they moving. They donât have a building to play in and theyâve had seven ownership charges since 1996. This is squarely on Gary Bettman for mishandling the franchise for the past 27 years. They shouldâve been relocated ten years ago. |

They were an excellent WHA hockey market, itâs also the 4th largest city in America. The Rockets owner didnât want to share an arena with them so he kicked them out. He sold the Rockets and the new owners want an NHL team for Toyota Center, which is an NHL ready arena in downtown Houston. - LeftCoaster
Gate driven league & going to pay rent doesnât fly imo. Need to fly straight as an Aero & get all revenues. |

Only 2000 paid attendance in Oakland for an Aâs game, probably only 300 actual fans. Another pro sports franchise that needs to move ASAP. - LeftCoaster

Never happen!! Ever!! I donât think youâll ever see an NHL team in Quebec City either, which is a bigger city than Stoon. Despite a newer NHL ready building, QC just has too much going against it, low metro population, lack of a large corporate base, language, players not wanting to go there, taxes, low CAD dollar, too many teams in the East alreadyâŚblah blah blah. Iâd love to see the Nords back, but it ainât happeningâŚever. - LeftCoaster

Just reading an article that 1/3 of Canadians are fine with prescribed suicide for the homeless. I was driving late at night the other night and I seen a homeless in the middle of a very busy street with his back turned to traffic hoping to get hit.
It is a sensitive topic, but the streets are getting fuller and fuller of homeless with no food and no place to go. I have a feeling a fair amount of homeless would be fine with suicide. Very sad and I think it is going to get worse before it gets better. |

Pronman is an idiot. Maybe one of he most short sighted thing he has ever said probably and heâs proclaimed a lot of dumb poop over the time.
Laine over Matthews is something that should have had him cancelled. - manvanfan
Iâm no Pronman fan. BobFather is my go to. Just not hyped on D this draft til about the 15th or so. C is more likely the way to go & Dvorsky if he falls be nice. Shout out to Vantel on his early pick. My Will Smith is a pipe dream now. |
