Wahlstrom was actually drafted 11th in 2018. In a re-draft I’d say he would still be more a 15-20 pick.

Normally Wood be high on my radar skating aside. Problem is wing is overloaded & we have some in the system. Imo Klimovich in 2 years will be a beasty mid 6 winger. That only says even more so a winger or 2 has to go out asap. We can live with those changes to fill in other needs.

One of Ray's favorite expressions a few years ago when he did spots for the 1040 was Canucks have got to give their head a shake. Let's see how many times he says that on broadcasts with the SN group that have the broadcasting rights. I really don't see him being negative towards the team or ownership and management if this is true. If he is he will not last long.

Probably dont need to draft any winger at any point in this draft.

Experiment to find a 3C if cannot get one via trade or UFA.

I’m giving OEL 1 year to reinvent himself & get closer to real value. At least at a 5m value be fine.

2024/25 season he’s when I really consider a buyout if not after seeing how that cap increase. I don’t want dead cap but if necessary so be it. Best case scenario is we can ride him out for 2 more seasons then only a 4yr cap hit would be ideal. That’s pinning a lot of ifs & hope on that.

TOI will be fluid with no PP time & Bear slotting in or Hronek. I had Bear with Hughes but it also would be fluid. Other option is run out the same D & wait on next year.

None of what I’d like to see happen on roster changes are likely to happen. Cap gymnastics are a big hurdle.
