There is so little cap space to go around. A lot of teams are going to have to go the buyout route to create any cap space. |

To me Oliver Moore is a great player to take at #11, he’s so fast and his natural athleticism, plus the fact he plays center, make him a player to let develop. - LeftCoaster
Allvin doesn't want a player with low ceiling at that pick.
Trading down and getting some "will play" players might be not such a bad idea to create better team depth. |

So these must be the contracts that will cost VAN significantly to move...
Boeser $6,650,000 X 2
Garland $4,950,000 X 3
Myers $6,000,000 X 1

Other there want to win and make the playoffs, Canucks lack of cap space won't hurt them. Doesn't look as if Pearson or Poolman may ever play again, so Canucks have about 5M in cap space to sign 4 players to make a 23 man roster. Other than Bear, everyone else should be in the 700-800k range. |

Allvin also mentioned potentially trading up.
Moving up from the 3rd round with their extra picks to the 2nd round is more likely than using those picks to move up from 11th overall |

"Jett's put himself in a conversation to come and compete for a spot next year in Vancouver or worst case, I see him as a guy that's going to play games next year because of the growth and how far he came along here as a player, a person and a professional."

Contract year, so yes. |

That is both untrue and really doesn’t have much bearing on what the management group there is trying to do. They will get better regardless of how many people are in the stands, or how big their arena is, because they are collecting some very good young talent through the draft. - LeftCoaster
I'd love to see them win a couple of cups before the Canucks. |

Hockey news threw out this little nugget the other day....
To NYR Boeser, and the 11th OA
To VCR Laffy and K Miller
Personally I think Drury tells Allvin to eat crap and die. 2 RFA's that are probably going to demand more than what Boeser is making...dumb trade imho - claygolf83
Would definitely make that trade. NYR do not. |

They are all tradeable but we would have to take some crap coming back. Just need to find players who fit better here in Tocchet's systems.

It depends if NYR has their eye on a player they really want/need at 11OA. I'm not 100% sold on moving Boeser. |

From Wheeler's first mock draft:
11. Vancouver Canucks: Dalibor Dvorsky, C, AIK
My ranking: No. 9
I’d harbour an educated guess that Reinbacher is the Canucks’ best-case scenario here, but I’d be shocked if he were still around, I don’t think defenceman Axel Sandin Pellikka is their type in Reinbacher’s absence, and Dvorsky feels like an excellent consolation prize for them both in the value he’d potentially give them at No. 11 and knowing that he’s the type of player different members of that staff would each value for different reasons. If he too is gone before they pick, and he may well be, I’d look at big wingers Matthew Wood and Samuel Honzek, both of whom they’d be really familiar with, check some of their boxes and have local ties (Wood is from Nanaimo, and Honzek plays for the Giants in Langley). |

I like him also. Danielson if we want a 200’ 3C. Still I’m a trade down fan for the right deal. Big range of prospects in & around 11th & later. |
