I also think it's good business to sell Myers at the deadline, regardless of playoff position. - golfingsince
Even at half retained unless he plays a heck of a lot better this year, that's a tough task to get someone to take that contract. |

Trading down
The Canucks lack top end talent but they also lack middle 6 centers and gonna play defenders and once in a while I think it would be a good idea to kill 2 birds with one stone instead of just 1. - manvanfan
The Canucks don’t lack “high-end” talent, they lack quality forward depth and their overall defence is crap. Pettersson was 10th in NHL scoring, Miller 28th, Quinn Hughes 38th, second among dmen, those are some of the better talented players in the NHL. |

Got a PM from Carol!...
Sorry for the five-month silence. This is honestly the first day I've logged in a really long time. I still occasionally get Google alerts for HB stuff because my name is in the tags or something, so I clicked over to see if someone had picked up the Canucks account. I recommended someone to them which didn't work out, and last time I looked you guys were still on your maaaaaaassive thread off my final blog.
Turns out I was right that I wouldn't have time to do this anymore. This has basically been my first moment to breathe, and I'm still deep in junior hockey world as I'll be covering Memorial Cup in Kamloops.
Hope you and the rest of the madmen are doing well!! - VanHockeyGuy
Thanks for posting this.

Craig Morgan
I followed up and Logan Cooley said the result of the Tempe vote definitely impacted his decision. He was leaning toward going pro had the vote gone in the Coyotes' favor but again, he noted that returning to Minnesota was still a good option. |

Coyotes face the realization that their rebuild may be all for not if they don’t get their poop together. That kid is going to turn out to be the best player in that draft. |

So two more years he stays in college and becomes a free agent? Would be most sought after in recent memory. |

Hmm would they want Garland for a draft pick? A second would be dreamy. |

Too bad her hand-picked replacement didn't work out... just gotta wait another month for a new blog here |

Vegas and Panthers two wins away from SCF. Talk about non traditional markets making good.
Canucks liking that they could do same as both teams rebounded from bad seasons. The volatility of success says possibilities can happen when things come together. |

Yeah not much of a spotlight on Canucks. No real news. Next Canuck stories would be possible trades prior to draft. Don’t expect buy outs. What else would they write about? Who to draft or trade the pick for scenarios? |

no, just no. Canucks are not a playoff team, not close to a playoff team. And they aren’t fast enough or tough enough to play in the playoffs. This wasn’t a one off year for the Canucks. This is a decade without playoffs. |

Now that cap friendly has updated. Teams possibly with interest in Garland could be.
