his write up aint far off.....big risk/high reward is where you gotta go. after Will Smith the US gang seems to project topping out at high mid-lineup players. Benson could maybe become some sort of puck wizard at the next level.

Not really. 36-goals as a draft eligible is really solid. Benson's more of an all-around offensive threat and playmaker than a guy you judge solely based on goals anyway.

I was shocked Fletcher didn't claim him. Torts would have loved the guy.

On the surface there are some similarities but Mcleod never scored 50-goals in junior nor did he ever put up the kind of U-18 numbers that Leonard has. Production doesn't always translate but it's still a big part of the picture.

If Leonard played in the OHL he doesn't score 50 goals either. Arthur Kaliyev is a pure sniper and hit 50 goals in the OHL once on a championship team.

I always thought McLeod was way overrated. And yes, Leonard does have better offensive upside than McLeod.

Not like the OHL is really seen as a great defensive league either. Colby Barlow scored 46 and he's generally ranked around the same place as Leonard.

Devils seems done ✔️ Hopefully Brind'Amour can come here when flyers have a comptetive roster. The 2 ex-flyers Krakstol & Brind'Amour really have their teams buying in. They are not depending on superstars.
