That's my worry with Dubas. His contract negotiations are what crippled the cap situation... there's simply no doubt about that.

I believe Keefe is gone. Probably should be Dubas as well.

He's one of those generational franchise players, one of a few in the last decade plus.

Had a down year and obviously battled injury for most of it. Easy to forget he just won the rocket 2 years in a row and is essentially the player we spent 15 years screaming for since Sundin.

But also now's the time to shoot him in the sun so we can spend another 15 years talking about how we're missing a franchise centre.

I always felt Matthews would re-sign and become the greatest Leaf of all time!

But now I think he'll move on knowing he just can't win here. Hell, I feel nobody really can.

Trade Matthews (I can't believe I even think of that) and Marner.
