Gudas makes 2.5 and is their 5th D. So nice try, but you appear to have no idea what you are talking about. - jribout
2.5 for Gudas is more than the 1.5 I mentioned, supporting the point. Gudas is also just an example using the recent competing team, of a more effective, productive antagonist. He’s far from a playoff stud. |

UFA:
Quick
Varlamov
Bishop (obviously done)
Bernier
Andersen (lol doubt he comes back)
Talbot
Jarry
Khudobin
Nedeljkovic
Broissoit
Reimer
Hill
Smith
Raanta
Jones (played well in Seattle)
Halak
Korpse
List goes on. A few guys will likely be overpaid (Korpse for sure). I didn't list any RFAs.
I personally just don't like buyouts so while it's a valid option it's simply not my preference. I think Murray/Woll would be fine. Woll will get plenty of work anyway and the leafs can go find another guy to deepen the Marlies.

It's after 1AM. It's really getting acid like in here. I get it! I'm pissed about a lost opportunity to see the Leafs win a Cup. This was their best chance to get there. First round, a team sliding downwards from their championship years. Second round, a team that went to game 7 overtime to beat the President's Trophy team and we didn't take advantage of a letdown after an emotional series and let it get away from us. The road was plowed to the finals. They just had to stay on it and get there. It won't come again for a while and it's obvious that MLS&E has again hyped us to believe that it was our year, when it really wasn't. If they thought that they really had a chance to win, they'd have gotten a bench boss with a winning pedigree. They didn't! We all know where it's going. Just a few splashes of paint and mostly the same team next year. Put that lipstick and perfume on that same pig and have it perform on a strippers poll once again. The insanity will continue and like the saying goes; doing the same thing, over and over and expecting a different result. Time to climb down off of this soapbox and step back into reality that it's now summer and time to let it go. Let the vent be with you!! - PrinceLH
If they went out in 5 and almost got swept by the Panthers how could this team beat the Canes. No sorry wasn’t their year and maybe you want a retool but it won’t help. They have sort of retooled for a while now. Time for rebuild not scorched earth but major changes.

Didn’t they secure their jobs for another season at least for finally getting past the first round? |

(frank) off and get over yourself.
I know you refuse to admit you’re wrong ever, the fact your username has the word fake it says it all.
I get that you’re upset that I called you out for being wrong and that you were. Have a drink, and just move past being wrong and that you were a jackass for making the smart ass comment when I called your bluff. - Cush29
The hell are you talking about?
I have many times said i was wrong
What bluff?
Youve got issues buddy. Youre (frank)ed.

I also don’t want a buy out. I’d prefer a trade to get rid of Murray and run with Sammy and Woll next year.

No need to buy him out, move him to a team like Chicago who needs a few million to reach the minimum. Something simple like Murray and a fourth for their fifth. |

I think dubas has. Imo
But if they run back the same core or even if they move 1 of the core they have to get a new coach imo. Time for a new look.
Just not sure dubas would do that, but we'll see |

Maybe time for you to call it a night champ.

Yes, there’s better ways to spend the money. Most goalies are only hot for a moment. The rare stories of a Broduer bring three cups home and building a team around a goaltender leaves you in the Rangers fate the last three decades.
Blackhawks and Lightning have had two cups close together with two different goalies showing the team in front is more important unless you have a Quick or Broduer. |

Hawks winning Bedard might make them FA spenders. That leaves maybe the Yotes which they are known to charge a premium for such dumps. Plus they don’t want to spend actual dollars for cap. They like contracts that have paid out large bonuses of cash already and still have high cap hits.
Murray is now not tradable and it seems buy out only option. |

Angry? Far from it but I get you being upset for being called out on your BS, you haven’t stopped whining about it since it happened.
You should catch some Zzz’s and start tomorrow fresh with some more half informed takes & then tell anyone who dares to disagree with you how wrong they are.

So bring in a Cup winning coach who focuses on hard play … hmm Sutter is available. Then you’ll see player changes for sure lol. |

Not sure sutter is the right fit in my opinion.
Maybe someone who is a little harder on or demands more from the players?
Or maybe thats not the right approach either
Dunno, we'll see i guess |

Exactly! That’s when their agents will be calling Dubas asking for a trade. He’ll have no choice but to make major changes. He can then cut ties with the Shanaplan he’s been trying to prop up. |

What bs? Wtf are you pissy about?
You're being dramatic.
All this nonsense over me saying "you dont see the puck, unfortunately"
You replied
"Wrong, if you saw the replay i did"
So then i posted
"Great
Call the nhl
At the time i posted they hadnt shown that one angle"
Then you went off.
So what bs, bluff or whining or whatever you are carrying on about are you referring to?
You seem pissy, chill.
We'll get'em next year. |

If we are talking Sutter then he isnt coming. He only came out of retirement to coach Calgary.
Also a pile of players had asked for trades and rescinded their requests as soon as he was fired.
The league doesn't have a place for them anymore. |
