Exactly! That’s when their agents will be calling Dubas asking for a trade. He’ll have no choice but to make major changes. He can then cut ties with the Shanaplan he’s been trying to prop up. - Quinn's Quest
Sutter isnt the right option. Imo |

What bs? Wtf are you pissy about?
You're being dramatic.
All this nonsense over me saying "you dont see the puck, unfortunately"
You replied
"Wrong, if you saw the replay i did"
So then i posted
"Great
Call the nhl
At the time i posted they hadnt shown that one angle"
Then you went off.
So what bs, bluff or whining or whatever you are carrying on about are you referring to?
You seem pissy, chill.
We'll get'em next year. - Fakepartofme
Lol right I’m the pissy one and not you.
Jesus man just let it go.
Seriously.
It seems to be really bothering you, tell yourself I’m the problem and you were 100% not an a-hole if that gets you past it I don’t GAS.

I....i just cant.
Another expansion team in the final within a year or two of existing.
I just cant - Fakepartofme
Why? Expansion teams are given way better players than previous expansions and they get to have a clean slate. Other GMs have to clean up stuff like a Marleau contract.
Its cool to see them do well. It's good for the cap and the league as a whole. |

Im glad they had/have success and i understand its good for the league. But i just cant cheer for them....not yet.
Maybe its frustration at watching the leafs have no success for decades, various versions of the team who cant catch lightning in a bottle EVER and then seeing new teams bottle that lightning up.

Hawks winning Bedard might make them FA spenders. That leaves maybe the Yotes which they are known to charge a premium for such dumps. Plus they don’t want to spend actual dollars for cap. They like contracts that have paid out large bonuses of cash already and still have high cap hits.
Murray is now not tradable and it seems buy out only option. - Quinn's Quest
There is always a team that needs the hit. If he was making more then your point would be reasonable but he sits in that perfect little spot where his hit is the perfect injured one for a rookie team.
From what I’ve read Chicago is still $30-40 million away from the minimum. |
|
|
|
If we are talking Sutter then he isnt coming. He only came out of retirement to coach Calgary.
Also a pile of players had asked for trades and rescinded their requests as soon as he was fired.
The league doesn't have a place for them anymore. - Aaron_85
Right that would be the effect to spurn on change. He’d only have to show up for training camp and then go back to retirement with a fat contract from deep pocket Leafs. |

Woll has so it’s either move Murray and resign Samsonov or bye bye Samsonov |

No need to buy him out, move him to a team like Chicago who needs a few million to reach the minimum. Something simple like Murray and a fourth for their fifth. - Dozzer
You will have to sweeten the pot… hawks have much better options |

Their Cap hit is 40M with like 10 spots for a full roster. They got 8 draft picks in the first 3 rounds this draft with Bedard. That prize alone is enough to not want to tank again next season. Besides they have other teams picks for next 3 seasons to bank on. So they can trade for expensive RFA’s of teams in cap crunch and sign UFA’s as well.
My point is their reality changed the minute they won the lotto they don’t need to take on dumps for cheap.
Leafs won’t be able to dump Murray cheap if at at all. Other teams faced that reality in this restricted cap and bought out their tenders. |

Hawks will not sign any FA for term.. Davidson wont spend just because he can… this guy lnows what hes doing. He will definitely trade up from #19 if the right player becomes available |

It means that I won't watch them as much and will give them the proper criticism that they deserve. Too many fanboys around here sniffing butt. I guess you're good with their record going back a generation. Myself, I'd like to see them win one more Cup before I die. I was 9 the last time they won it. I'm a senior citizen now, and haven't even seen them in a Cup final since '67. It's starting to get like the Chicago Cubs syndrome that lasted over 100 years. Almost like the lost cause of the Confederacy. - PrinceLH
... I'm around the same age as you (old fart) and I totally get what you're saying man.
Those guys (Fab 4) sure are purty Facebook cuties but you don't win cups with guys like that. Anyway, it's not my fight. Signing off.

Angry? Far from it but I get you being upset for being called out on your BS, you haven’t stopped whining about it since it happened.
You should catch some Zzz’s and start tomorrow fresh with some more half informed takes & then tell anyone who dares to disagree with you how wrong they are.

Then just give them whatever they want. This is a buyable option. It’s what cost the leafs GM is willing to accept that’s interesting, since it might be someone new |

He can sign short term 2/3 yr high value role and support players to cushion all the rookies. That will get them to cap floor. No need to take on cap dumps like Murray.
They’ll be such a young team now with so many draft picks. Won’t be surprised if he uses the picks from Bolts and Leafs to get more 1st rounders this draft. Like an all in for the ‘23 draft class they already have a leg up on. They can positionally choose and pick. |
