My sauce told me Johnson was on his way to sign with the Sabres until some local 40 something year old man chased him trying to get an autograph on his Girgensons bobblehead. Johnson ran in fear back to his car and decided to test FA. Adams is stuck in limbo now.

Good Read!! - Buff36
He should get a chance next year. He has some scoring ability around the next, but he would instantaneously become the toughest player we've had in uniform since John Scott's giant ass. They don't call him Big Murr for no reason, he's a bowling ball of a man and has an angry streak. He can play defense well, at least based on my eye test, and can skate pretty well for his size. Let Girgs/Okposo both go so we can fit guys like him in, he'd be a big addition IMO. |

I think Murray lacks nhl skating and speed.
Has Size, toughness , grit and a bit of a scoring touch.
Jody gage type ahl tweener IMO.

when you go 12 straight years w/o making the playoffs
IMO it's ok for a few fans to be pissed off
imagine if Adams got that 5th round pick for Tage - homiedclown
Sure, and Karmanos and Ventura have been here for what 3 of those years ?
We missed the playoffs by a point, have a prospect pipeline 90% of the league wishes they had, and cap space out the wazoo.
Not many teams have the flexibility and outlook the Sabres do.
Karmanos and Ventura are part of the reason why |

I hope gets claimed off waivers if he doesn't make the squad. He's a really unique player who could be effective in front of the net on a 2nd PP unit and he is adding PK to his resume as well. I want to see him get a shot somewhere. I think he could be a really nice versatile 4th liner. |

Cheap effective replacement for Girgs or Okposo. Would fill a needed role, get him and Rousek up here next year on the 4th line. |

His top speed is still not great, but his edges have improved a lot. Tbh, I'm not sure he's not a better skater than Okposo today.
Nice reference ^^ could definitely be the outcome. I think there's a little more there, but can't really tell until we get him in a few games. |

Agreed, he's taking up minutes in the AHL. Either keep him up and give him a chance or get him gone and put your eggs in the Nadeau basket. |

I agree, actually think Murray would look nice on Mitts and Savoie's line. Give them a heavy forechecker and then he can plant his A$$ in front. Plus he would help protect the kid. |

Nail meet head.
Olo out for Kulich or Savoie perhaps too. All other efforts go into fixing the right side D. IMO if they did that, they're a playoff team next year even despite the stacked division. |

I can think of a 4th line that needs some size and versatility.

Murray's skating will always hold him back.
Rosen though, looking like a sure fire nhl prospect
Maybe take your head out of your ass and take a look at really what's happening in Sabres land.... |

Appreciate the opinion, I would love a tough, gritty guy like Murray to replace okposo.
Okposo isnt on the Sabres for his skating though....
Hopefully Murray can break though, but with all the 1st round forwards ahead of him, it seams unlikely IMO.
Sabres already have a Jam upfront, of course these rookies most likely see top 9 time.
Thses playoffs probably have kyvyn and company 2nd guessing the okposo/ girgs press conference thoughts |

The fans want Savoie included in a trade package for a RD and a Top 6 forward. |

Funny, people say Murray's skating will always hold him back. He isn't exactly playing with slow pokes in Rochester. Think if he can keep up with the likes of Rosen Kulich Rousek Weissbach Biro who can all skate. Think he can do it here. |

Murray may never make it, but think it's more about the forward depth they have then his skating. |

What depth do they have for the role he would play?
Again Adams has stocked the cupboard with the same type of prospect.
Does Rosen hit his peak playing 3/4th line ground and pound style? |
