I really like the trade suggestion and always liked connor.

I'm just stepping into the Sabres vision, I think they love levi and want him to start 55-60 next season and beyond.

Its his job, doubt they look for a starter.

Boston had Swayman ready to go and still paid Ullmark. You need two goalies these days imo. It would be a travesty if next year goes sideways because UPL has to play 30+ games and he's awful

Gotta give to get and the Sabres have 64 good forward prospects ready for a shot on the 2nd line.

With the modern NHL rules you are much better off applying for expansion than over paying for a dead franchise. I hope they do go to Houston. Then, the Nordiques can take the path to success via Seattle and Vegas, and bid for expansion

What I don't get is why they'd pair well. If you go get Hellebuyck, you want him to start 65 games next year.

Don't think WPG would counter asking for Levi? I thought about it a bit more and don't think they'd take that deal even with CH as a rental.

A 3LW who plays some C and can move up in the lineup might describe both of them.

I'd like to see more of Mitts as 2LW with Cozens. Their hesitancy to let that stick makes me wonder how they see this all fitting together. No shortage of 3LW options.

I admire your optimism but I do not share it. Heading into next year with a Levi/UPL tandem would be extremely risky for a team that is essentially ready to win now with a few strategic tweaks
