I personally don't see a deal there either unless it's a pure rental to hold Levi's hand for a year, show him how to be a pro, let Hellebuyck take a few more games than normal off, pump up those numbers and cash in next year.

He's great, with no Levi, absolutely, go for him and back up the truck. He'll put up great numbers with the Sabres window hopefully open, and UPL can be the understudy and hopefully develop into something.

If he had even just 2 years left on his deal it would be a slam dunk, but anything other than a pure rental at a low cost, like a lottery protected 1st that turns into a 2025 1st and 3rd or something if they miss the playoffs just doesn't make sense.

They absolutely need to go out and get a guy to carry the load for a year or 2 while Levi comes into his own.
