There's a difference between attempting to actually acquire one and doing what Kevo has done, which has been to stand pat with what he has, add a few pieces on the edges. Keep in mind he's made very few player trades that weren't forced or pressured. Asplund, Bjork, Johansson. The Johansson pick became Novikov btw.

He hasn't once attempted to acquire one, nor has he ever been in a position to acquire one, prior to chiquorino. His attempt to snag him sets the stage for how I think he's been spending this offseason. Finding another guy with similar impacts at that position.

Based on Kevo's open admission of attempting to acquire the chicken, I can't fathom he sits on his hands again. I expect a reworking of the bottom 6 (obviously not all 6), a top 4 D and a reassessment in goal. The latter is more of a hope.

Thought there was a rumor like this out there, didn’t know it was the leafs. They only had 3 picks that year, so sorta makes sense.
