🙄
Frankie wheels, Silfverberg or Henrique and a couple of 2nd rders. We don’t need premium assets back, we need cap space |

That and it makes the Rangers worse in the short term. |

Buyout for either guy isn’t bad at all. Both under 2 mill for 2 years. They’d be like ok but you need to take one of them and then we could decide what to do. Then we’d have money to sign Laf Miller and maybe a Tyler Bertuzzi
The idea of trading Panarin gets everyone all uppity, but if it did happen I think it would be a team like Ana or chi, rather then a team with playoff aspersions such as Tronna |

Not if they signed Bertuzzi because of it. That would be my target for the summer. Things have to happen tho |

We will offer you Josh Bailey, Ross Johnston, a conditional 3rd round pick in 2029 and the rights to Rick DiPietro's amnesty buyout payments for Panarin
edit: and all lyrical rights to the Josh Bailey song |

But assuming we did that, we’d be saving 6 million bucks because Panarin is off the books. Retaining is the same thing, just different wordage. It would be worse because you’re retaining on 3 years instead of a buyout for 2 years |

Retaining is stupid too (not singling you out). They need to clear the salary and not have it on the books for years if a move is made. Buyouts are so wasteful and I am really tired of seeing them listed on Cap Friendly. |

I get it
I think an ideal summer is
-trade Panarin somehow. In the process save 5-6 million doing it
-with that money you sign Tyler Bertuzzi (speed, jam and playoff performer) check boxes we need
-re-sign laf, Miller and Zac Jones (Jones is the 6th D with Schnieder)Harpur is the 7th
-sign Motte and maybe one other lower end guy
-get a coach who gets more ice time to Laf and Kakko and we finally see if they are for real or not. They need to get higher in the lineup imo
-NO KANE or TARASENKO
Boom Stanley cup!! |

I would love to see Drury's pitch when he tries to get Panarin to waive the full NMC he signed to play in the only city he wanted to play in |

I mean yeah, this imo, is more wasteful then talking about the next coach. When Panarin makes it know he wants out, I'm all for it. Until then, let me chime in with situations where I see the NYR burn. |

Unless it’s a GG thing with Panarin, I feel like he could want a change of scenery too. |

From the outside looking in, I don't see why he'd want a change of scenery. The Rangers are still a competitive hockey team. Not without flaws, but still a very good team.
There aren't too many teams that could absorb his cap hit and most, if not all, will be non-playoff teams. I can't imagine he wants Columbus v2.0 |

That’s why Anaheim is perfect. Who wouldn’t want to play in California? It’s gawgess |
