The Canucks don't need a 20M left side.

They would have the highest paid defence in the league from 5 defenders.

No, he doesn't and he would improve the defence and if the Canucks were in any other situation then the current roster. I'd probably say heck yes but they are in a situation that I would pass on the deal. In terms of cap allocation on the team and even just the defence, 20M left side and 11M right side then? Unless a lefty is going to start playing the right which many lefties aren't all that great at it.
