I've thought about it, but it would cut into my fishing schedule too much. |

Since you won't put the work in, let me do it for you. Any team that drafted top ten, where Benning consistently drafted, meaning he should've drafted at the top of every round, can come up with a list of players to what you've described.
From 2014, Benning's best draft, to 2021, just pick a random team and list the players they drafted. You're going to find similar lists. His drafting was 100% nothing special, considering him missing so badly on Virtanen and Juolevi he probably sits near the bottom during that time frame.
Carolina...16 players who've played 100 or more NHL games and only two top five picks in Hanifin and Svechnikov. You named five good NHL players in Demko, Boeser, Forsling, McCann and Pettersson in eight years of drafting, that's not poor, but it's also not good when you compare it apples to apples for teams with similar draft positions.
2014 - Lucas Wallmark 187 gms, Warren Foegele 349 gms, Alex Nedeljkovic 103 gms, Hayden Fleury 244 gms.
2015 - Steven Lorentz 192 gms, Nicolas Roy 228 gms, Sebastian Aho 520 gms, Noah Hanifin 598 gms.
2016 - Janne Kuokkanen 119 gms, Julien Gauthier 153 gms, Jake Bean 125 gms.
2017 - Morgan Geekie 180 gms, Eetu Luostarinen 212 gms, Martin Necas 285 gms.
2018 - Andrei Svechnikov 347 gms
2020 - Seth Jarvis 150 gms
New York Islanders...similar list to yours and they'd be considered a "poor" drafting team. Only one top five pick and they missed on it too.
2014 - Devon Toews 315 gms, Ilya Sorokin 136 gms, Michael Dal Colle 112 gms.
2015 -Anthony Beauvillier 490 gms, Mathew Barzal 420 gms.
2017 - Sebastian Aho 132 gms.
2018 - Noah Dobson 238 gms, Oliver Wahlstrom 161 gms. - LeftCoaster
Carolina was a nice cherry pick. Isles not so much, i prefer the Canucks picks. Theres lots of teams that have had so-so drafting in that time columbus, nash, philly, chicago, nyr to name a few. Lots of rebuilding teams not getting off the ground so quick out there it's taken Colorado, Buffalo and Ottawa multpile tries. |

Letās see 3 teams left 2 will play for the Cup. I guess thatās not important enough to have your A crew on the network. Not sure why you are being a stick in the mud over this. Itās quite obvious Bieksaās absence sticks out. |

Amazing and came close to beating Canada as well for finals spot. Good on Silovs getting hot and gaining that experience. |

Looks like your boy Myers is going to get a gold. Captain Tofolli with another goal. |

So now Myers can be a candidate on joining Tofolli on the Flames this season. |

I was reading Hockey Writers potential trade partners for the Flames. It said Lindholm to CBJ for their first round pick and then it said Tanev to either Buffalo or NJD for a second round pick. I was surprised to see his value at a second only.

lol second is really no better than third a wise man once said. Good on the boys for gold but really watching a bunch of NHL scrubs outside off the PO's isn't much of a thing.

Not really. Looking at his past three seasons in CGY he has only played one season un-injured and is older. Big risk now as it was three years ago lol. |

He was always injured but NHL GMs are as smart as Lefty. Not the brightest bunch.
