I would think so also. Very good forward group that have the potential to be better than the defenders is all.

As seen every year defenders that aren't labelled as top pair guys still going a few spots higher than a lot of rankings.

I still look forward to Podz getting into playoffs. He still has only 118 NHL games. I'm a 300 game guy before really know what a player is about at the NHL level.

Late bloomers, Chandler Stephenson had 33 points in 168 games in Washington.

Podz is only 22 next season. He probably shouldn't have stepped on the ice in the NHL yet really with the lack of years in development he had in the KHL.

Players should be defined by their attributes not their national origin. We can lament the Canucks lack of Canadian stars but that shouldn’t be the reason for their losing.

I'd still prefer the player with the highest upside. Maybe it is time to hit on some lower ceiling, higher floor players to compliment some of the other draft picks the team has made in the past couple years.

Some players with distribution qualities would be nice for all of Van's scoring wingers though. Probably why I'm higher on Yager as he added that quality to his game this season.

Later on in the first Calum Ritchie or Otto Stenberg.

I mean, there's something to it. Sure looks like the average Canadian player knows how to up their game more come playoff time. You look at these depth/heart players, alot are Canadian! That being said, im not looking at nationality when i look at prospects.
