I think there is a market for Miller for sure. However, no chance we are getting 3rd overall. - CanuckDon
Yeah, you're right there is a market but not for 3rd overall in this draft. And tagging Boeser onto the deal is hilarious. The guy has no value at all with that contract of his.

Lefty is high as (frank) again. Perhaps we should have his intervention at the picnic ?

It really depends how much is traded at both ends. Trades for the 3rd overall pick trend to be pretty big, or at least complex. One team's Boeser is another team's gudbranson.
Apparently CBJ’s GM is open for business and willing to trade the 3rd overall, according to reports put out by NHL insiders on Twitter. Please dear God trade JT Miller and Boeser for the 3rd OA and Roslovic. - LeftCoaster
If the Canucks are trading up they're 100% attaching the 11th with it.
There was speculation a few weeks back that the Blues Jackets would consider moving the No. 3 pick in a top-heavy draft to Calgary for center Elias Lindholm, provided Lindholm was prepared to sign a contract extension, like what they did with Severson. The theory behind trading for Lindholm would be to reunite him with last year’s big Columbus offseason UFA add, Johnny Gaudreau, who had 115 points playing with him in their final year together in Calgary.
Read that also & looked into Willander more. 1st off Danielson won’t be gone. Those others probably. Willander has certainly played into the picture & looks like an ideal pick at 11. Keeping the pick will leave some interesting prospects to pick from. Don’t see it but adding a top half 2nd pick would be a stellar move with this deep draft & get more D.
My trade down is our 11th for the Hawks 19th & 35th. Take BDA available then BDA (Simashev) then maybe another D if not dried up.
If Willander there at 19 fun fun choice. If not the 39th & it’s 45th might still like swapping picks. - Nighthawk
Simashev and Willander will not be THERE at 19 and 35 draft slots. If you trade down you will have to reach on 2nd round D. Look at history of draft where top 4 potential D rise all the time. It’s a long term need for all teams and cost to trade for them is very high.

JTM and BB would attract the CBJ fans to attend games. It’s a good move being locked in. Carlson will take too long for them to utilize.

Simashev, I think you are seeing recency bias honestly with Alexander Nikishin in his draft plus 3 year as one of the best KHL D. He was a 3rd round pick though. Also following the footsteps of Shakir Mukhamadullin what could have been instead of JT Miller. He was picked 20th in a weaker draft but both are 6'4" smooth skating D that have played really well in the KHL.
There is potential there but a lot of bust potential as well. Simashev and Willander both might be gone by 19 because two teams are seeing only upside in them.
You'd think there would be conversations, especially with the Bear situation.
Ceulemans? - VanHockeyGuy
They are probably having conversations with every team
Van's in a tough place that there players aren't all that valuable to most teams and lack of cap space and don't actually have excess in anything that other teams would need.
Clb need a 1c well Petey and Miller could fit but Van lacks more centers.
